I'm looking to revamp my non-fiction book THE ART OF READING. Both because I know I can do a better job with it, and because we need to advocate for reading, and literacy in general, now more than ever.

Thoughts and feelings you don't give voice to, even to those closest in your life, to whom you confide everything. That's what you should write.

Sound scary? Yeah, it is.

The ink is my blood The pen, my weapon The enemy, ignorance (Willful) It fuels hate It feeds anger But worst of all? It kills curiosity Our friend, the question With us from birth Often our only friend Why? What’s that? How? Why? Why? Why?

Why not?

The ink is my blood The pen, my weapon The enemy, hatred (Virulent) It spreads, invisible It infects, silent But worst of all? It kills curiosity Our friend, the heart As curious as the brain But easily bruised Why? Was it me? Is that just them? Why? Why? Why?

Why not?

The ink is the medicine The pen, the needle The enemy, sickness (Emotional) It dissolves our insides It decays our resolve But worst of all? It kills our will Our friend, determination We forget we have it But there it is Why? Do words matter? Will anyone listen? Why? Why? Why?

Wanna live in a world where the cruel and corrupt are actually punished and not, you know, elected to office?
