Most Romantic (or sweetest): Speechless - Chapter 5

Context: Reader visits a lake with Joel, as part of her therapy and Joel admires more than just nature

The scenery is truly breathtaking. Joel ties up the horses while you stand by the ledge, looking at the calm waters.

Eventually he stands beside you.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" you say, your mind faraway.

Joel can't take his eyes from you.

"It is" he agrees softly, not wanting to break the spell.

The horses shuffle in the distance, causing him to be alert. He clears his throat and moves away to give you space.

Your Angst-iest writing: Second Chances - Chapter 8 (Joel Miller x Single mother)

Context: Joel narrowly survives Abby's attack and had amnesia. He forgets that the reader and him didn't get along, until his memories come flooding back

He nods, as he wipes away a single tear that started rolling down his face. He looks up at the ceiling "That fight we had when you first started working with me…what ya said was true and I can't help thinkin' maybe you were right…I should have died that day…" His voice drops to a hushed whisper "…I deserved it."

"No Joel, I didn't mean it, it was the anger talking and I feel awful over it." you plead with him, still gripping his large hand in yours.

He glances at you with a sad expression, his voice cracking with emotion, causing his voice to tremble "…I can't get it out of my head what ya said-"

You interject "No, please don't say it-"

"I have to" he insists, his tortured eyes showing his turmoil as he looks in yours, "…I hope you have a painful and agonising death some day…you deserve it for all the bad things you've done. Karma's a bitch”.

Your most humorous: Age Over Experience - Chapter 4. Sneak peak of current story (Joel Miller x Older Female OC)

Context: Her sister Gigi has a degenerative eye disease and is nearly blind. She embarrasses her when they bump into Joel.

You share a couple of drinks and it goes to her head, before long she's giggling so you decide it's time to go home. As you're leaving the bar, you bump into Joel.

You both mutter "Sorry" and as you try to keep going, Gigi gets a second wind. "Who do we have here? You sure sound handsome…" she says, her voice sultry as she tries to make out his shape.

He blinks at first and she carries on, "So you're a strong, silent type? That's your favourite isn't it Di?" as she leaves out a flirtatious giggle.

Joel can't resist a smirk at this, "Nice to meet ya Ma'am, I'm Joel Miller".

"Oh so you're the famous Joel Miller, I've heard so much about you…I'm Gigi, Di's sister" she answers.

Joel glances at you "Huh, is that right?"

You feel your cheeks burning, remembering all the times in high school, your sister mortified you in front of a boy. Why the hell is it having an effect on you now?

You mutter in frustration, "Come on Gigi, now is not the time".

"Fine" she reluctantly says as she flutters her eyelashes at him coquettishly, "Until next time, Mr Miller…"

Joel smiles again as you can't meet his eyes. Gigi's façade slips as she tries and fails to find the door handle. You reach for it but Joel gets there first.

He gives you a slight nod, which you return, to your surprise.

Your sexiest: One Night Only - Chapter 1 (Joel Miller x female reader)

Context: Two strangers flirt in the bar before things get steamy!

You stop what you're doing and make a decision, asking him "one for the road?" His lips curl in a crooked smile, seeing the bottle of whiskey you're holding. You introduce yourself and he shakes your hand firmly answering "Joel".

You both sit at the table and you pour two shots. You clink glasses before taking a large sip.

"You've a mighty singing voice" he says and you thank him, giving a demure smile. You chat about how he and his daughter Ellie are finding life in Jackson.

You coyly tell him "Heard a lot about you from Tommy".

"Oh yeah?" he replies raising an eyebrow. "Yep, he didn't say you were so handsome though" you blurt out, your finger tracing the top of your glass as you speak, trying to stay cool.

"You're God damn gorgeous yourself Darlin'. You look up at his face and feel flushed, all you can do is smile. You notice that every so often he glances at your lips, and licks his own.
