I can hear my heartbeat, your love may never flow my way Still I'm gonna keep holding on

"Someone please explain to me this respawn thing..? It's a joke right..?"
Well, he certainly fit the description, yet still Jena wasn't sure if the scout was really the person she was looking for. Then again, who else had a necklace like that? "Hey, are you Johnny..?"
The Scout didnât glance up at first, he was too busy doing his stretches, getting ready for his usual morning run. Sitting on the ground with one leg folded and the other stretched in front of him, he was grasping hold of his foot and pressing his forehead against his shin.Â
âYeah, datâs me,â he murmured, his voice strained. Sitting up he lifted a brow at the woman in front of him then grinned lightly. âSup?"Â
âFrom each occupation..?â Well she hadnât said anything about that. Maybe that pyro fellow was right when they guessed what her mom had planned for her. Honestly it was one fo Maâs more irritating habbits- being vague.
At least he didnât have a whole lot to show her if what the scout had said was true. She had gotten to explore a little beforehand at least.
âScout? Oh yeah I know about the scout class.â Jena said with a smirk. âMy lilâ brother actually started a couple years ago as one for some support base. Soon after Ma landed this job and darn it all if I wasnât jealous of the money they brought in. You guys are the ones who use bats and run fast.â That explains his attire.
âFunny though, I thought those spy guys would be more capable of taking Intel. They have this thing that makes them go invisible; one of em snuck up on me before pesterinâ me an it took all I could to not snag the mask off that pompous French sleezebag.â
âEh, not all of us, nah. I usually take my bat out on the field when I wanna be especially annoyinâ. I carry around a pistol moah often than not.â Tucking his hands into his pockets, he yawned slowly. Even though he was up early he never seemed to wake up all the way until during his run. This time it looked like conversation was going to take over for that.
âYeah, lettah said somethinâ about introducinâ ya to the classes. Dunno if dat meant to tell you about âem or just find someone from each. Up to you, actually. I ainât gonna drag ya around and have ya meet a buncha strangers if dat ainâtcha bag, yâknow?â Saying his peace, he considered what she had said about Spies and shrugged a shoulder.
âYeah, they would be, but I think theyâre bettah off renderinâ defenses useless. Like they got this thing dat scrambles sentires and stuff. Yâknow what would be moah useful, though? If it caused the programminâ to flip.â He made an idle gesture with his hand then laughed as he shoved it back into his pocket.
âLike they become friendly to our team nâstuff.â Coming up to the door of the main building, he opened it up and urged her to head inside first.
âTo be honest, I think Iâd want to meet each of the classes.â Jena spoke up as they started working. Visual worked best for her, that was something she knew well about herself so there was no need to just listen about each class Nd forget later. Johnny had offered, and he seemed like a chill guy.
After all he had offered.
Jena chuckled as she walked within the building and waited for the scout to follow. The warm air compared to the cold outside was a relief and the woman shivered before removing her coat, yet left her knitted scarf on. Yup, still sensibly fashionable even with her coat tied about her waste.
âI think I might have seen every class walkinâ around.â Jena commented. âBut that might comment by I have seen more of those suit wearing buds. If I had some kind of invisibility device Iâd use it too.â
[Previous Posts!]
âAâight, yeah, lets do dat then.â He hummed to himself, wondering where they should start. Seeing that they were close to the medical bay he nodded lightly and lead the way as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his sweats.
âYeah dat device is pretty neat. Somethinâ like dat would come in handy, big time.â He nudged his chin toward the hallway after he rounded the corner that would lead them closer to their destination.
âGonna see if dereâs a Medic around. Good to befriend these folk since dey keep ya alive nâstuff. Well, us anyway. Donât think youâll be headinâ into mercenary work.â Then again he could be wrong. Why else would Mama want him to have her meet someone from each class. He shrugged lightly. She was full of surprises so it was difficult to say.
Pressing one of the infirmaryâs doors open, he peeked inside to see if anyone was in. Thankfully there was, but he seemed busy doing a check over a newest arrival. âYa wanna wait, or come back later to talk to him?â
"Me? Mercenary work?" Jena asked. She laughed, walking along side the scout with a cheerful- and now amused expression. "Look at you all then look at me. Every last one of you are strong, skilled and used to this life style. All I know how to do is fight in a ring. Where there is no strange weapons an just our fists and feet."
Coming close to the medical bay the musician's interest peaked, and her words died down in tone as she looked about.
"My only useful skills are playing music... dancing... and people skills and I'd like to think I have good leadership skills... uh..." finally the words died down and the woman thought. "Well, might as well move on. Lster would be better."
Nothing is more beautiful than a Warrior Woman in action.

"Jin? Jin? Pyro hon?" Jena called, walking through the BLU base halls in search for her new friend.
"Iâm outsiiiideâŚ!"
True to her word, the girl was not in the base, but her name stuck out like a sore thumb. Instead, she was sitting in the snow, making a snowman for her entertainment. Not that she intended to behead it or anythingâŚ
Jena followed the sound of the pyro voice, shivering slighy and pulling her scarf more securely around her neck as she stepped back out into the cold.
"What's this? You makin' a snowman doll?" She asked with curiosity. Right, as if you can't see that's exactly what she is doing. "I haven't built one in years."

His size and scars did not go unnoticed. Jena didnât want to stare at them, but they made the large man even more intimidating and even if unnerving they were also kind of interesting. How had he gotten them..?
âYeah...
He didn't make a big deal out of the facial scars, so the woman scratched her head.
"Right... sorry. I'm so used to folks getting all stiff over scars, I didn't think that if was just a normal thing with all'o y'all."
"Well, I guess you coukd say that." Jena commented. No she wasnât a new mercinary, but she was new to the bases and actually was surprised she hadnât gotten lost so far. Having someone show her around could be a good thing. But this man was huge and kinda made her nervousâŚ
Then again, most of the men she ran into here were that way and they all seemed to be generally nice. She needed to get over it already and just relax.
âActually, that would be jus fine with me hon.â Jena responded to the werebear, offering him up a hesitant smile. âI would hate to get myself lost while tourinâ around like I have been so a second pair of eyes would be sweet.â
"I canâ exactly offer ya a second âpairâ, but one will do, I suppose, eh?" He notions to his half-blindness and chuckles, in a friendly way. "Nameâs Sergej, RED Melee Heavy fer Coldfront." He offers a paw before he heads anywhere else and a warm smile "What would ya be interested in seeinâ first?"
Well for one of the large and seemingly monstrous men within the bases, this man- Sergej seemed for the most part friendly. Jena needed to stop being so tense, there hasn't been much trouble this far aside from a michevious scout with paint balloons so why worry? Everyone here seemed decent.
"Well that's the thing hon. Not quite sure where to look first..." she scratched her chin with a single flatten nail and glanced about. "Although I am a lil' curious on how things work around here. So maybe you could tell me about battles an whatever. It's. It ready showin' but it be dang helpful."

Send "âŚ" for my character's reaction to yours pulling them into a closet, covering their mouth, and saying "Quiet. You're being followed."

Well at least he didnât seem bothered. Now relaxing a lite Jena couldnât help but feel a little ticked off. Not at him of course; her mother. Hearing him talking about changing clothes had the woman shrug, and she took his hand to shake it while offering up a friendly smile.
âJena Rose Mavric hon. Dumb name I know but itâs mine. As for changing, Iâm not exactly in my Sunday best either.â So she says. Jena was just like her mother in one way; fashion. Her casual wear certainly said there was a little bit more money spent than what anyone needed for an outfit, yet sensible enough for walking about. However her clothes were not the attention grabber. Jena had an afro twice the size of her Mothers. Dang.
"Wear what you like. Or change, donât mean a thang to me."
"Jena Rose, hm? Nah. I donât think itâs dumb at all. Got kinda a nice ring to it." His grin grew just a bit more broad and after she shook his hand he dropped it to his side then glanced over what he was wearing. He supposed it wasnât too bad; sweats with one of his t-shirts and running shoes. He was just showing her around after all.
"Yeah, yeah aâight. Take it ya maâs gonna have ya workinâ around heah?" He lifted a brow slightly and gestured her to follow him after giving her a brief once over. She was definitely her motherâs girl; she looked like a younger version of her with twice the hair. Idly he wondered just why Mama never mentioned having a daughter. Son, yes, but that was it.
"To be honest, theah ainât much to see. Ya seen one hallway, ya seen âem all. Some reason she wants me to have ya meet someone from each occuption. So uh.. Iâm a Scout. Usually one to run ahead or find different routes to surprise the enemy. Othaâ than recon, I snag what intelligence I can fah our team. Probably sounds borinâ, but it can be pretty excitinâ."
"From each occupation..?" Well she hadn't said anything about that. Maybe that pyro fellow was right when they guessed what her mom had planned for her. Honestly it was one fo Ma's more irritating habbits- being vague.

'Dear Johnny,' it read. 'I am sorry for the abruptness of this request but I need a favor of you- and while I know I could have asked anyone else for it, I know I could trust you most. â My daughter is here visiting for a bit and I honestly do not trust her walking about the bases or on military land on her own with all these mercinaries about. Show her around; introduce her to the classes, make sure she has no trouble and take her back to my office afterwards? It would be very kind of you. And, if you are hungry once you return perhaps supper could be arranged. I know you wonât disappoint.
-M.M. Mavricâ
Jena waited as he read, wondering exactly what had been written on the paper that would make the scout do this little embarrassing chore. A mercinary didnât seem like the type who would walk around with a civilian- one who didnât need it in her opinion.
Silently looking over the words, he tilted his head slightly as he came across the last few sentances. Arranged supper. For all three of them, if not more, no doubt. Drumming his fingers against the back of the letter, he shrugged to himself and folded up the paper to tuck into the pocket of his sweats.
"Yeah, alright. Guess I gotta show ya around, eh?" The corner of his mouth rose in a half grin and he held his hand out to her for a brief shake. "Ya got my name, doll, whatâs yours? And uh.. I should get dress befoah we head on out. Not really wearinâ showinâ-around attire, yâknow?"
Well at least he didn't seem bothered. Now relaxing a lite Jena couldn't help but feel a little ticked off. Not at him of course; her mother. Hearing him talking about changing clothes had the woman shrug, and she took his hand to shake it while offering up a friendly smile.

They seemed confused⌠But about what? Jena watched the pyro react to her, and bit her lip in though. She was kind of sure that the other was curious about her visiting, but the woman didnât know how much information to share.
Jena only thought about it before determining,...
What in the world was the pyro doing now? The amusing little thing made her patient enough to watch as they sketched, wondering just what they could be drawing.
Seeing the sketches helped Jena realize that doodling was how they chose to communicate. Each class was recognised and seeing her doodles as each had her thinking... was this what her Ma had planned for her...? She was no mercinary like her brother. And while she had plenty of fighting experience due to her boxing families upbringing, she doubted anything within the ring would be applicable in a war zone.
"I don't think so." She answered, looking back up to the stranger to hand them back the notepad. "Id given the chance I might try it. I kinda grew up learnin fighting an all but I ain't the type for explosions and gunfire."

"Hi uhâŚ" Well this wasnât awkward at all. What in her right mind did Ma think she wanted a bodyguard for? She had said to call him a tour guide if that made her feel better but honestly it hadnât. Not now that sheâd gotten a look at this Johnny guy. He looked liked he was part of the same class as the other merc who had given her trouble with the paint balloon. Still, she wasnât going to judge.
âSorry, I ainât used to giving out introductions to people- but uhh, Iâm Jena Mavric⌠and I Ma said she had a job for you.â Hopefully this letter her mother had given her explained everything so she wouldnât have to. The woman handed over the wax sealed letter over to the scout.
The grin that had come to his lips faded slightly when he took a look at the letter. Another job, hm? Why didnât this surprise him? It was nice and all being thought of when she needed some time sensitive or trustworthy tasks done but he was hoping that some day heâd be on her mind for other reasons.
Like a real dinner that didnât involve her asking him to join her only to send him on a job or two. That sucked. He had hoped she had finally taken him up on his offer.
"Daughter, eh? Didnât know she had one." Pushing up from the ground, he took the letter and turned it over in his hands. He should say ânoâ simply because he wasnât so blind that he didnât realize he was being used, but, with an inward sigh, he found himself opening it anyway to give it a read over.
'Dear Johnny,' it read. 'I am sorry for the abruptness of this request but I need a favor of you- and while I know I could have asked anyone else for it, I know I could trust you most.
