Normally, if either bear or lioness were out for the day or night, Adwin could handle being in the house by himself. Sure, he might get into the fridge or cabinets. Or poke his nose in things his mom didn’t want him in. But he was still good, as long as he was fed enough meat, cause a ruckus with the fauna in the area and had some place nice to take hour long naps.

However, that wasn’t the case at this moment. His mothers strange moods didn’t help the rising anxiety within him. He didn’t need to know what was happening to know that she was possibly going to get hurt or worse. That anxiety came to fruition when she locked him in the house. For Nashita, it was to reduce interference. For Adwin, it felt like punishment.

How was he suppose to protect her from….whatever she was doing? How was he suppose to protect her from the odd anomalies he sensed from the street? How was he suppose to do anything when he was locked up like this?!?

If anything, his caterwauling got louder, more claw marks littering every surface from desperation. Anything that wasn’t heavy or at higher heights were either broken or scattered about the house. Thankfully, the note she left for Sergej was high enough to avoid Adwins rampage, pinned on a shelf with her hand writing.
