JaySteph Weekend is back for 2026!

The event will be held from the 14th to the 16th of August, the weekend between Stephanie Brown and Jason Todd's birthdays.

This year we will be taking prompt submissions, with prompts to be announced on Sunday, May 31st 2026. Please submit a short prompt (1-3 words), a trope, or a short phrase you would like to use as a prompt for this year's event!

We will be using eight prompts and having one free day in the hope of inspiring creativity in all the talented writers and artists in the fandom.

That field scene in Pride and Prejudice 2005 but it’s a Gotham alley 💜❤️

In a completely questionable impulse (which she'd later try to justify as a mistaken chat), Steph uploads a photo to the group chat wearing a black T-shirt that says "Property of Red Hood." The chat freezes. Then it explodes. 

Barbara pinches the bridge of her nose and mutters something about not having had enough coffee for this.

Dick messages Steph privately in less than five seconds, asking where she got it and if they do express shipping with the Nightwing version included. 

Cass already knew, so she just sends a thumbs up. 

Duke isn't surprised either; honestly, this was inevitable. 

Damian declares it a stupid thing not worth paying attention to and promptly takes a screenshot. 

Tim stares at his phone, blinks once, twice, and decides he'll process this later. 

Bruce feels his left eye twitch and knows—he knows—that the headache isn't going away. 

Jason? Jason hasn't found out yet. Her chat has been muted for weeks.

JaySteph Pop-Up Valentine's Day is a prompt-free WIP busting event - that's right, it's entirely in your hands!

Have you got a JaySteph fic you've been working on for a while but haven't found the motivation to finish and post? Or perhaps you have some time on your hands and want to create something to spread the JaySteph love?

That's what JaySteph Pop-Up Valentine's Day is for!

❤️ A prompt-free WIP busting event!!

💜 Dust off and finish a WIP fic or fanart, post a new chapter to an in-progress longfic, OR create something brand new (playlists, edits, incorrect quotes, or memes are also welcome!)

❤️ Your work does not have to be about Valentine's Day or even be romantic JaySteph, but it can be if you want.

💜 The goal is for everyone in the JaySteph Nation to be able to spend Valentine's Day curled up with new works for our favourite couple, so that no matter your own relationship status, you won't be alone on Valentine's Day!

❤️ It's motivation to knock a few things out of your WIP folder or make progress on your longfic, all while getting more eyes on your works and spreading JaySteph love on the day made for love.
