One of my favorite instances of this is from 40k, shocker, I know, but basically Sebastian Yarrick, known to the Orks of 40k as "Old Bale Eye" had such a longstanding feud with an Ork Warboss, Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, that once Ghazghkull actually had Sebastian at his complete and utter mercy and let him go.

The only other surviving human was a pilot. And the Orks, known for their literal BIOLOGICAL NEED for violence and conflict did nothing to them. Because Ghazghkull told them not to. He let them take a human ship back to their territories. A young Ork asked what the deal was and Thraka just said "Good enemies is 'ard tah foind."

I want to stress that Thraka weighs a couple tons and Is literally fifteen or twenty feet tall.

Also of note: When someone else killed Yarrick later, Thraka joined forces with humanity to kill the guy that did it. Leading those human forces? A demigod or "Primarch" named Lion El'Johnson. So imagine losing your greatest foe to a monster and then walking up to Hercules (Someone you know almost nothing about for this example) and being like "Hey. You wanna kill the Nemean Lion? Me too. I'm coming along wether you want me to or not."

I cannot believe I have to say this, but also shoutout to Dan Da Dan for not sexualizing CPR...

It was really refreshing to see Okarun not argue or make any weird comments about it when Momo suggests it. Mouth-to-mouth respiration is an emergency procedure to save somebody's life, why does it only get equated to kissing in pop culture?

Exactly. Dandadan for being as raunchy as it is and having serious fucked up situations, it’s one of the few anime I can think of where it doesn’t outright glorify or over sexualize these fucked up situations.

Granted the next episodes could come out and I could be proven wrong, but it seems to be able to keep the serious tone of these situations separate from the comedy and romance of the show.

Like Momo getting captured by aliens in episode 1, that whole scene was very rough but at no point did I feel like it tried to turn it into hard fan service or glorify it. The whole thing felt gross and weird, which makes it so much better when Okarun shows up to beat the aliens’ ass.

Dan Da Dan episodes 1-6: A fun anime about teens with sudden supernatural powers. They fight aliens and yokai. Great animation. Dick jokes. Romance leads with great chemistry. A chase scene to a techno remix of the Willhelm Tell overture and the Can Can.
