I can’t stop thinking about you. I get excited every time your texts light up my phone. My heart skips a beat every time I get lost in those beautiful eyes of yours… Jax, I’m in love with you.”

“I wanted to. You’re very special to me, and I make Abuela’s recipe for those I care about.” Chaz gave him a smile. “I also made my favorite recipe for dessert, and fried plantains and arepas to go with Abuela’s favorite dish.” Once everything was sat out, he put the basket off the counter. “And I brought over some wine, too.”

“I try.” Chaz laughed a little as he unpacked the food, having butterflies of his own. He was nervous and excited to have Jax try one of his Abuela’s favorite recipes. “Remember how I told you I was born in Colombia? I made one of my Abuela’s favorite recipes.”
