The faint scent of strawberries caressed his nose again asShisui sighed, his chin resting against his crossed arms as he slumped over hisdesk in a daze.
The classroom was, as usual, loud.
Naruto was screaming at Sasuke a few rows down, Kiba waslaughing loudly across the room, and the fangirls were….as always, screamingabout something.
But the dull roar that usually bothered him waslittle more than a whisper against his ears today, as just in front of him bythe open window, pink hair blew around in the breeze.
Irkua more often than not, did his best to sit certainstudents away from one another, trying to prevent any issues before they couldeven become issues.
Naruto and Sasuke for example, had to sit across the roomfrom one another or any lessons that day would be interrupted by brawls.
Ino and Shikamaru had to be seated with Chouji if they werenext to each other, or he’d have an irritated Nara to deal with all day, noteven commenting on the state Ino would go home in after working herself up overher friends laziness.
And, while not the most disruptive pair, Shisui and Sakura.
No, they didn’t fight or cause any problems, but Iruka hadnoted very early on, that if he sat the curly haired Uchiha anywhere withinviewing distance of the vibrant girl, his grades would plumet. The youngUchiha would be zoned out all day, his attention on the young girl he ‘secretly’fawned over instead of any lessons (which had led to more than one trip to the hospitalduring practical lessons, the paperwork afterwards was one of the reasons thisparticular seating rule had been enforced so strictly lately).
But as always, mistakes happen.
And here Shisui was, sitting right behind the love of hisyoung life.
Eyes half lidded, Shisui watched the girl in front of himwith a soft smile, her page quickly filling with notes despite the distractionsfilling the room.
No wonder so many teachers had a soft spot for the girl.
“UCHIHA SHISUI, YOUR PAPER BETTER BE FILLED WITH ANSWERS BYTHE TIME I GET UP THERE OR SO HELP ME!” Iruka yelled across the room as the boysat up suddenly, his face falling blank as the chunin started to make his wayacross the room.
Sakura looked back at him slowly, her expression questioningas her bright green eyes darted from his empty paper to himself.
But oh, his name sounded so nice when she said it…He’d needto tell Obito about this later.
