...just finding myself...

Today was our mid cycle sonogram #2! It went way better than we expected!

1. My right follicle went from 14.5mm to 21.5!

2. My left follicle went from 13mm to 18mm.

3. My uterine lining went from 10mm to 15mm!

The doctor scheduled my IUI for tomorrow 1/15 at 11:30am and we couldn’t be more excited! She went over with us again about the possibility of having twins. I was so excited looking at all the twin items online. But now that it’s a real possibility I’m terrified. Just thinking of labor, school clothes and supplies 😩😩😬😬. But then on the other hand..two babies. TWO BABIES! Being able to just have two babies and they would be able to grow up together and it would be awesome.

So..I had my baseline sonogram yesterday and it went so well! I was so fucking nervous leading up to the appointment that my stomach was killing me. Of course it was also a bit strange to have an exam while menstruating but whatever.

Once the doctor came in and got going she gave us some great news. I apparently have soooo many eggs it’s ridiculous 😂. She said people would kill for that many and naturally that gave us some confidence. I mean I knew I had no fertility issue and no cysts or anything but a part of me was still worried that she would see something wrong and we couldn’t do the procedure this month.

We were then done looking at all my future babies. The doctor went over our game plan and that’s when we really got excited! I started clomid 50mg last night for 5 days. I’ve always heard scary things about it so I have to admit I was very nervous. As I’m waking up today I feel pretty normal still. So maybe I won’t have any issues at all 🤷🏾‍♀️.

We go back on the 11th for the mid cycle sonogram to see how the future babies are reacting to the clomid. Then our trigger shot will be shipped to us. I am a tad nervous to let my wife give me that shot. But I know I can’t do it myself 😂. It’ll be awesome!🤞🏾🤞🏾

So I clearly can’t let it go. But idk why people are so quick to assume that because I’m black that I can’t possibly be with the Hispanic family next to me. We got out the same car. We sat at the same table. We are walking together and holding conversations. Get over yourself and YOUR idea of a “normal” family.

Okay..so we now are down to like 2 weeks before the start of iui cycle #3. I’ve never been more excited and yet so scared! We could be pregnant in just a few weeks! 😬😬🤞🏾🤞🏾
