something about the one-eyed lord of the night protecting the blind girl from the dark is like. excuse me? and when the light returns to her eyes it's because the darkness has consumed her heart?? and the lord of the night wants to drench his hands in blood to protect her from that darkness?? excuse meeee??? and once he liberates her from that darkness, her memory of him is trapped in the dark?? she looks right at him and doesn't recognize him for all the light she never shared with him?? and that's what he WANTS for her because he sees himself as the embodiment of the darkness that drowned her for so long?? excuse me?????

as you get older there are parts of you that you have to leave behind and outgrow. but sometimes you get to keep them. and the parts of your younger self that you never lost are the things that define you the most. what i'm trying to say is, i never lost whatever part of myself drove me to write an essay in third grade about why phil collins is my hero. and i think it tells you everything you need to know about me
