Having Noelle and Berdly being your favorite characters is humiliation ritual bc both nobody can be normal about Noelle's narrative autonomy in fanon or canon. And people will kill you for wanting to be invested in Berdly as a character.

Guys the reason Susie wants to exclude Berdly into things is because like remember, he's been an arrogant jerk to her throughout their interactions. Yes I feel so bad for Berdly in the context of what the story is building up to, but like he didn't do any favors for himself when it comes to Susie. He constantly diminishes her intelligence, he refers to her as different things, and yeah that's a part of him not knowing the real her behind her facade but like still, that's rude. Of course he gains some respect for her (and ig crush) in cyber world but he doesn't really apply to what he "dreamed" of in the light world unlike Noelle. He definitely does begin to see her more sympathetically but like he's still being a little shit about it. Susie though, like what else can she make of him. As far as she knows, she thinks Berdly hates her. (When you talk to him in the library in chapter 4 Susie says: "look we get it, you still hate us in real life. We'll leave.") And like I don't blame her, to her he's always been that dweeb who constantly mocks her level of education, which we know that's an insecurity she actually has when she talks to Gerson. So like why should she include him in hanging out with Noelle and Kris if he's going to probably harsh the vibe about her being there. Like genuinely I think these two have to get know each other better so he could have a chance at being included. We know Susie probably won't mind IF Berdly drops his own facade.
