So I randomly had this future Catradora idea:
So Finn (Catradoraâs Fanon kid) is at the age where they can begin fight training.
After about a three months of this they insist on sparing with She-Ra.
Catra is very hesitant about this idea, knowing first hand what itâs like to fight someone that big and strong.
Adora however, agrees, knowing sheâd never use She-Ra to hurt Finn.
So theyâre sparing (Adora obviously going easy on Finn) and Finn insists that she shouldnât cause they want to prove themselves.
Adora just laughs it off.
Getting frustrated, Finn uses their feline capabilities to crawl onto Adoraâs back.
This is where shit gets messy; they unsheath their claws attempting to use them on Adoraâs back in the sparing match.
Adora, however, still has unresolved PTSD from the war (that she was unaware of prior to this). Adora (as She-Ra) gets flashbacks to all the times Catra had clawed at her back (which obviously hurt a shit tone more). So before Finn can scratch Adora her body reacts to the PTSD flipping Finn over her head and onto the ground, hard.
Sheâs breathing hard, only snapping back to herself when she hears her own kid groaning in pain on the floor
Sheâs mortified obviously and begins tearing up
Catra runs in having heard the yelp and sees Finn on the ground and She-Ra tearing up before them.
Catra (being a mama cat), ignores the latter and runs to Finn and asks if they can move, they try to sit up (with some difficulty) and pain shoots through their spine so they hiss and groan some more rather than responding.
Catra looks at Adora in a way Adora either canât read, or hasnât seen in a very long time.
Catra helps Finn to the medical wing
Adora transforms out of She-Ra dropping to her knees and sobbing.
Later, Adora explains (sobbing harder than she has in years), what happened and why. Explaining to her wife how she âthought she was over thisâ and how she âcanât believe I hurt my babyâ.
Catra (resisting the long lasting urge to say âI told you soâ) comforts her wife, taking accountability once again for her part in the PTSD that caused this in the first place.
Finn was okay after like a week (One of the worst weeks of Adoraâs life but still).
Adora refuses to deny Finn anything for about a month and a half (much to the teenagers delight). Catra begrudgingly accepts this after Adora insists that Finn âhates herâ (even though Finn forgave Adora immediately after since they asked her not to hold backâ).
For Finnâs part, they do not look at She-Ra the same again for a while (though they arenât mad at Adora).
Adora feels like shit every time she sees this
Catra knows both feelings.

(Finn also has a bruise on their back and arm for a little bit that they brag about because they âfought She-Raâ)
(Catra comes in all smug and insists, âthatâs nothingâ showing them and whoever else was present actual scars (not graphic ones) she got from fighting She-Ra back during the war)
(Adora is both amused by and hates all of this being happy about the bonding and similarity between the two and also being extremely sad about having hurt both people she loves most)
(They both stop out of guilt and apologize)
