mira has this habit of saying "i'm just gonna close my eyes for a second."

this statement has never once meant "i'm just gonna close my eyes for a second." it means she has accidentally initiated a two-hour nap.

it doesn't matter where she is. couch, floor, car ride, rumi's shoulder. if she's comfortable for more than a minute, she's gone.

after enough years together, rumi and zoey have learned to stop asking if she's asleep. they'll hear complete silence, glance over, and immediately start debating whether they should put a blanket on her now or wait until she's fully committed to unconsciousness.

Instinct tells me Zoey, because that’s in her nature, but my gut says Rumi, because she’d want every last bit of the muffin, and the wrapper isn’t “that bad tasting” anyways. So I would say Rumi

after seeing the last mira comic seeing mira SMILING while she's got a fist and face full of spaghetti is soooo good!! celine sighs but they're so happy and now it's bath time

mira is slowly starting to become comfortable with being a child, and lil rumi and zoey are aiding her tremendously. celine is longsuffering, but doesn’t say anything; simply encourages it

(though, when she looks away momentarily, zoey ends up accidentally flinging spaghetti at the wall, and rumi somehow spilled the entire container of parmesan on her plate, and celine sends them all off to the bath)
