There should be a word for that achingly nostalgic feeling you get when you return to a place you used to have unfettered access to, like a school, years later as a guest. Where everything feels just as you left it and yet so very different. Knowing every nook and having the overwhelming urge to explore in those old backstage places you used to go, but being unable to because you are now an outsider.
