“Life’s Lil Pleasures” was created by illustrator and designer Evan Lorenzen. Lorenzen has spent the last year building a library of “micro books” with diverse themes, including one that details major events in Earth’s history, a tiny book of big words, and a field guide to cereal.

You wake up one day and realize you’re in a parallel universe. You’re not sure what exactly is different, only that everything seems a little… off. Your suspicions are confirmed when you go with your friends to the mall and Take On Me comes on, and it sounds like this.

The Project Apollo Archive uploaded more than 8,400 high-resolution images the astronauts took during NASA’s Apollo Missions of the 1960s and 70s. The collection includes every photo shot with the Hasselblad cameras on the lunar surface, from Earth and lunar orbit, as well as during the journey between the two. All the photos are unprocessed versions of the original scans.

NGC 7822: Stars and Dust Pillars in Infrared : Young stars themselves are clearing out their nursery in NGC 7822. Within the nebula, bright edges and complex dust sculptures dominate this detailed skyscape taken in infrared light by NASA’s Wide Field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) satellite. NGC 7822 lies at the edge of a giant molecular cloud toward the northern constellation Cepheus, a glowing star forming region that lies about 3,000 light-years away. The atomic emission of light by the nebula’s gas is powered by energetic radiation from the hot stars, whose powerful winds and light also sculpt and erode the denser pillar shapes. Stars could still be forming inside the pillars by gravitational collapse, but as the pillars are eroded away, any forming stars will ultimately be cut off from their reservoir of star stuff. This field spans around 40 light-years at the estimated distance of NGC 7822. via NASA
