This is something new I’m working on so it’s not titled yet. It’s unedited and straight from my notes app.

Slider had thought his days of being an emergency heat relief alpha were over. It’s been years since he last called and he thought they might have taken him off the list due to his age.

Then he had gotten a call this morning. A desperate plea by a nurse for him to go to an on base apartment and see if he could help out a heat stricken omega. He hadn’t gotten many details except they had returned from a dangerous mission several days ago and they had rejected every alpha medical had sent their way. The last several needing stitches from the abuse the omega had inflicted on them when they had been rejected.

Sitting here now as he watches Jake nibble on an Oreo as he watches baby birds fly for the first time he gets it. Understands where the past ones went wrong.

Omegas were special and especially ones in the Navy had fought their whole lives to be here. Slider knows his husband had. That they had been looked down upon and been told they don’t belong. Fought against so many stereotypes to get where they were.

And a lot of alphas didn’t take into consideration that.

The past alphas no doubt having thought they’d come in here and Jake would present and beg for their knot. That Jake would be submissive and pliable because he was in heat.

No, what Jake needed was someone to come in and tend to his needs. For them to let him run things and be in charge. To set the pace they went at.

Something the alpha didn’t mind at all. Content to sit here and luxuriate in the sugary scent of Jake’s pheromones. Vanilla so thick in the air Ron could open his mouth and taste it.

“Hoodie”

It’s a command. Not an ask. And one Ron is happy to indulge. Stripping out of the one he’s wearing to pass it to the omega’s waiting hand.

This weeks wip snippet comes from Show me your fangs

Bradley settles back into his spot next to Fritz after lunch, a cool breeze blowing in from the open hangar door. There’s a buzz amongst the cohort as they wait for Mav to bring their class back into session. Ever since Maverick successfully flew the mission in the allotted time this morning, they’ve all been chomping at the bit to get up in the air. To be the next to prove they can clear it in time. Phoenix catches his eye, nodding her head towards the front. Hangman is missing. It’s normal at this point for him to not join them for lunch, for him to disappear into the admin building when they have breaks. Coyote letting them know he’s going to check on his Top Gun students and his co instructors. Bradley can’t lie but he never took the blonde to want to be an instructor. To thrive in it the way Coyote tells them he is. It’s definitely shifted his perspective, no longer of the belief that Hangman wants to see them fail. No, Jake wants to see them succeed even if his way of going about it is not what Bradley is used to. “Attention on deck”, Warlock’s voice booms through the hangar. Sending them to their feet. Hushed whispers breaking out as they watch Mav walked up to the podium, Jake and blonde woman on his heels followed by Uncle Wolf and Uncle Hollywood. Uncle Ice and Admiral Simpson bringing up the rear. There’s a tension in the room when the rest of them notice Admiral Kazansky. The calmness gone as Iceman steps up to the podium. What had happened in the hour they’d been on lunch? “You may be seated, aviators”, Ice says, blue eyes scanning the crowd. Landing on Bradley for a second longer than the others. “The mission parameters have changed.”
