Too far gone

Journalists. Guess I don’t know this dance as I used to. I – I am many things, Quinn. Trying to name it is useless. But, to make things easier, yes.

Oh, my little boy.. Christian… he’s teething so sleep for both me and him is a very rare commodity right now.

Kids, they sound horrible. My condolences. You know, for the death of your freedom and all.

I never thought I’d ever need coffee that much in my life like I do right now.

Coffee is a human’s best friend. I’m not sure how people survive without it, honestly. Wait -- Need? Why you need coffee?

Day 7 of 3 hours sleep a night… apologies to anyone back in town who I may run into. That being said… how is everyone?

Only three hours of sleep? I know how that is. But may I ask why you sleeping so little?

It seems like sand is impossible to get out sometimes.

I’m sure it is impossible to get rid of. It gets everywhere, and it seems that it glue on your skin. It’s horrible.

I know right? Even yesterday was only 2016, and now, wow, it’s already 2021! Time goes by so fast! Well, why do you wear shoes, then? C’mon, be brave. haha Glad to know you’re okay.

Exactly! I forgot to take them off, to be honest. And when I did, it was already too late. Thank you, Quinn.

If you want, I can try and make it different, since looks like you didn’t like that too much, huh? I can just give you a normal ‘welcome back, honey’, if you want me too. How are you? Where have you been? I was crazy worried!

I did like it, I loved it, actually. So don’t you try give me normal. I’m fine, and I’ve been busy. Went to get some milk and lost my way. I shall tell you everything, but first, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to take this long, or make you worried.

Why go back if you didn’t miss it?

Not sure. Guess I just missed the horrible feeling of sand. 

Yeah- I get that totally. The people there definitely made it a lot more tolerable. My home is and always will be New York. It’s where I grew up and it’s where I work- all in the heart of it. Well, that’s good.

New York? It is a very lovely place, I envy you a bit. But I’m glad you are back home. Feeling home is always the best. What you work at?

That’s what I did- I never quite felt like Hazel Run was home, though. It’s great to hear that! How’s the island, though? Aside from all the sand.

It’s not Hazel Run, honestly. It never felt like home, and I doubt it ever will. But it is who is in it. But that’s great to hear, Markus! May I ask where your home is? And the island is great, I think.

Man, new movies are always insane… We have a lot of interviews this week and I still have a party to promote it later this week. I love it, of course. I only have 24 hours to be here in Hazel Run for visits, though.

Movies, huh? Sounds lovely. What is it about? And only 24 houts? Well, you have to make the most of it, then.

Oh, you’ve been gone for a while, huh? Welcome back to the island! I’m okay, busy, and back from a trip, but okay. How about you?

I -- have? Didn’t feel like much, but I suppose I have. Time is such a strange thing. Thank you! I’m glad to be back, besides having sand in my shoes. That’s lovely! I’m okay, too.
