Covid denial/minimization is a form of eugenics- historically, disease and ableism have been crucial tools of colonialism and capitalism, and covid disproportionally affects the most marginalized and vulnerable groups in society (such as the Indigenous, Black, queer, disabled, homeless, working class, and elderly communities).
Refuse to be complicit in the mass death/disablement of millions and protect yourself and your community by advocating for clean air and wearing a proper respirator in shared spaces (n95 or kn95, cloth and surgical are not effective against airborne illness, and wear them even if you feel fine- over half of all cases are asymptomatic!) and consider checking out or starting Mask Blocs in your area. Covid vaccines, while still important, do not currently prevent infection, transmission, or long term damage/post-viral conditions. Check out my #covid tag for more!
