Mika still couldn’t believe it. He was back. They were all together again. He got up when Jackson got up and walked to the living room with the dogs following. “I actually think we have some blood there.” He said and turned to go to the kitchen and get it. They had always hoped that Jackson would come home and had stocked up every now and then, keeping it as fresh as possible.

Callie took Christian when he started to reach for her, holding him and pressing a kiss to his forehead. The baby babbled away and she couldn’t help but smile as she followed the two through to the living room. “We always have a small stock for this little one too.” She said softly, sitting down and settling Christian on her lap and letting him play with her necklace and hair. “Just in case he sprouts fangs and gets a lust for blood at any point.” She grinned over at Jackson, clearly teasing but it was a genuine worry.

That is not enough sleep…what does keep you up?

Oh, just... my little boy. He’s ot sleeping too great, so neither are me or Mika and JAckson.

You can nap, Callie. I can take Christian. It’s my day off. Not that I slept much more, but you need the sleep more than I do. I have coffee to survive with.

Mm... Tempting. So so tempting, but  you know what I’m like... the minute he cries I’ll be right back up again.

You looked really tired this morning, Callie. You need to rest more. And maybe some energy pills.

I don’t know... Are those pills good for you? I mean, I’m trying to avoid drinking too much coffee, even, so that seems.. a little backwards if I take those instead...

That sounds like you have a baby that doesn’t want to sleep. 

Spot on.. Or, well, kind of. Poor thing wants to sleep, but his teeth are keeping him up.

If you have a free moment this week, it would be a pleasure to run into you.

I always have time for you, hon, you know that. When were you thinking?

That’s what they make sleeping pills for, or I can give you a nice sleeping potion. Nobody should have to miss out on sleep for anything other than sex.

Oh, it’s not that I can’t sleep. It’s just... Well, I mean, baby keeps waking me and Mika up.

That’s no way to live. I know from experience. Any change of getting a good night’s sleep soon?

Just as soon as we stock up on medicine and teething gel for bubba, we’ll stand half a chance.

Tell Mika I said to stop keeping you awake at night. 

Ew, no! No. It’s not even his fault. Or.. well ,it could be. It’s Christian.. my one year old. He’s teething and crying all night. No... definitely not as fun as all that.

Why have you been sleeping so little? I am good, thank you for asking.

Christian’s been keeping me up a lot. Even when Mika sees to him, I still wake up, you know? Good, I’m glad.

Kids, they sound horrible. My condolences. You know, for the death of your freedom and all.

It’s not exactly death of freedom. He’s usually good as gold, sleeping through and everything... he’s just teething so he struggles a little.

Someone needs a break, huh? Hello there, Callie. Is everything alright?

Kind of? I don’t know.. I’ll cope. Christian’s just teething so he doesn’t sleep a whole lot. Not the whole way through the night at least. How are you?

For baby and mother both. No.. he’s being surprisingly good, but you know me... worrying over everything. He’ll make a noise in the night and I wake up out of habit, even if it’s just him turning over or coughing. I think I read somewhere that you have a baby of sorts of your own... what happened there?

Hibernating? I didn’t know you were part bear Callie….I’m great I guess, have you seen the influx of people coming back?

Oh yeah, totally. New development. No... I’ve got a little boy who doesn’t like sleeping so I hibernated during his pregnancy, and I hibernate now catching sleep when I can. Good! I have. I wondered if I’d missed an announcement about a reunion or something.

Mika wrapped Callie into his arms as well when she joined them and pressed a short kiss on Christian’s head when he started to babble at Jackson. Of course he knew who Jackson was, they never really could stop thinking about him. When Jackson collapsed on the floor Mika was worried for a second but then he saw the tears and just ran a hand through his hair. Seeing him with Christian in his arms was making him happy. That had been a moment they all had been waiting for.

Callie had tears in her eyes, a few spilling over as she watched Jackson and Christian.  It was all she’d ever wanted. Ever since her little boy was born, all she’d wanted was for him to get to see his family in full. Meet both fathers, know both and be around both. And here they were... finally. She stayed with Mika until he went to sit beside Jackson, glancing around when she heard whimpering from behind a door. She smiled, oing to open it and let Rex and Hope bundle in, heading straight for Jackson. They both knew to be careful around Christian, so although there was jumping, it was only on the side opposite to the baby.
