How a packaging material supplier from Jaipur, India is helping the world fight COVID-19?
We are Jagannath Polymers Pvt Ltd located in Jaipur, India. Being a responsible manufacturer for packaging materials, we always have been involved in social activities with voluntary corporate social responsibilities. With vision to support the world with our products, we also have measures to direct help to the needy in situations like the current one.
During this pandemic situation of COVID-19 all over the world, there is a situation of panic and fear, we have a positive approach to the situation. We are looking at this as an opportunity to serve the country and world. We have taken the following steps to help in this situation.┬а
Awareness Campaign: During this situation, the main reason for the spread of the COVID19 virus is panic. We did create some easy to understand flyers and videos for everyone to understand the reasons for the spread and ways to save them.┬а
We created an animated video which depicted measures to save themselves from the infection to the virus. The video had self explanatory and easy to understand graphics to connect to the massed and spread the message not the virus.
Free Mask distribution: We did have some stock of face masks which we use for our production. These masks are used by our production team for saving themselves from harmful gases while production. We usually keep these in stock for these masks.┬а
When we saw the people profiting themselves with sales of masks, our Director sent an immediate message to public for free distribution of masks for welfare of people in need. We received approximately 25 requests from people all over the world for requesting the masks. We did send the masks by courier to people who could not afford or buy them due to shortage or high price.
Free Hand Sanitizer: The COVID 19 virus can be killed with an alcohol based sanitizer. We use IsoPropyl Alcohol (IPA) as a key ingredient in our printing inks. We did mix a generic formula for the hand sanitizer and made small bottles of hand sanitizer for free distribution. We distributed more than 100 liters of sanitizers to public.┬а
Production of packaging material for essential goods: When the nationwide lockdown was announced by our prime minister Mr Narendra Modi. We immediately stopped all our operations including the office. We informed our clients about the 21 day delay to their orders. But when we were made┬а aware by our clients for immediate requirement of their branded material for flour, salt, bread or milk, we took special permission from our authorities to start production.┬а
Our team worked day and night in this risky environment with fear of infection, but with passion to serve the nation in tough times. We did start production of blown films and printing division to serve the requirement of essential goods to the industry.┬а
