BROKEN MELODIES.

Jeno's racing heart thundered in his ears, gaze intent on Jaemin as he slipped both hands into his lovers, lacing their fingers and drawing them to his lips, leaving tender kisses across each knuckle. Gaze unwavering, a tremulous smile crept over his lips. He'd never felt so nervous in all his life, or happy. Jeno couldn't believe the moment had arrived when Jaemin became his husband. The very thought almost coaxed tears. But he held them off, clearing his throat and dropping their hands between them whilst taking a small step closer to the love of his life. "I don't know who I'd be without you, but I know, for certain, I'd never be this happy. Not in a million years. Nor would I feel this complete. You don't just make up for the parts I lack, you pull me out into the world when all I wanna do is hide away. And I'm always grateful to explore this world with you. Every single second we spend exploring is some of the most precious moments of my life. Seeing you come to life, the smile on your face breathtaking, the way you look at me, keen to see my reaction to everything; you make me impossibly happy, Jaem. The wonder that fills your eyes on every adventure, makes me want to take you to every corner of this earth. I want to do everything, all the time, so long as I'm with you. Haechan’s chair scraped across the floor as he stood, glass in hand and garnered the attention of everyone in the room with a light tap of a spoon against the rim of his champagne flute. “Just wanna take a quick moment of your time to thank the grooms for inviting us all to such a beautiful wedding, and to express my gratitude for the trust with the very important role of best man. I knew I wouldn’t let you down, but I bet you were sweating bullets entrusting me with the job, huh?” Snickering, Haechan wriggled his eyebrows at Jaemin, before shooting a wink the man’s way. “Of course I’d never let you down, though. Never have, never will. You’re a better friend than I ever tell you. And I couldn’t be happier that you discovered your forever in your best friend. If anyone deserves that happiness, it’s you two. Two of the nicest, most genuine and loving people I could ever hope to meet. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, but don’t doubt you’ll get just that. I love you both to the moon. A flutter of nerves stirred to life in her belly as Tzuyu stood from her seat, scanning the crowd whilst considering how she’d catch everyone’s attention, when Haechan clinked his glass once more, drawing the guests' eyes their way. Sending a grateful smile towards the man, she cleared her throat. “I just wanted to say that I am so happy for you both,” her words directed towards the grooms, she met Jaemin’s eyes and her smile turned fonder. “I am so happy you found your happily ever after. And in the one person you felt the strongest bond with. I think I knew before you, Jaemin, that you were hopelessly in love with Jeno, so I’m glad you caught up!” A titter of laughter met her ears, and Tzuyu chuckled along before continuing. “I love you both dearly, and thank you both for making me part of your special day. It truly is special, and so are you both. Here’s to many years of happiness for the happy couple! They share something we all want in life, and this happy ending couldn't have happened to better people.” @jaemvns
