asher let out a breath, he wasn’t sure how it had led to this but he wasn’t exactly complaining. he was kissing a beautiful woman, someone he felt…. he knew in some way. he wasn’t sure how exactly but he wasn’t going to question it either so he held her as close as he could, eventually lifting her up and into his lap.

jade knew she wasn’t drunk, it took a lot more than two glasses of rum and a few sip of a beer for that. it was something else, did the liquid courage make her feel like she shouldn’t hold back what she wanted to do? yes. the witch couldn’t help but fall completely under his spell, no pun intended. the moment she was pulled into his lap, hands both come sliding down his chest and stop just at the hem of his shirt and hands curl into the fabric, just sitting there while her plump lips deepen the kiss.

“almost of age.” she chuckled. “could i get a water instead? also, my name is rose. its nice to meet you.”

“ rose. that’s a nice name.” she said, a small smile on her lips and she nodded at the girls question and filled it up before passing it over. “ my name is jade, nice to meet you as well.”

“no i know, i remember you saying that.” he laughed. the silence between them wasn’t even as though it was uncomfortable it wasn’t. it was perfectly comfortable and dare he say nice? he breathed out a breath before he looked towards her and he wet his lips as she looked at him. when she moved forward his hands instantly moved to her hips, his lips moving back against hers. he was surprised but it didn’t stop him from kissing back. 

jade felt his hands move to her hips, she responded with a small breath passing by her lips. the blonde felt electricity surging through her entire body the moment their lips connected. it was a rush, one like she had never experienced and she wasn’t prepared to stop just yet. her arm came up, sliding around the back of the males neck and also used it as a guide to pull herself in closer toward his larger frame and she brought up her free hand to place on his chest.

“not everybody would agree, but i appreciate that thought.” he might have been interesting to her but there wasn’t….anything all that interesting about him honestly. he’d tell her he was a demon but she would run in the other direction. “yeah.” he nodded. he wasn’t technically lying but it wasn’t the truth either.

“ well, as we mentioned earlier... the whole normalcy umbrella with all of the lame people under it don’t really count, do they?” jade asked him, one of her brows raised as she did and the blonde then smiled softly when he spoke. he was the first witch he had met aside from her brother, at least that she knew of anyways. and in some ways, she felt like she knew him... like he just, got her? it was difficult to even explain to herself but the connection she had felt since the moment she lay her eyes on him only seemed to pull her in more and more. the blonde just looked at him a moment, she moved her beer to a nearby table and leaned in slowly, her soft and plump lips catch his in a kiss.

asher waited for her to finish talking and he shrugged. there wasn’t much that people didn’t know, unless he didn’t want them too. he raised an eyebrow. “well, there isn’t much to tell. i’m not exactly interesting.” he shrugged. “i can use magic, if that’s any interest to you.” 

“ i beg to differ, i think you’re actually very interesting.” jade hummed, her light blue hues travel over him and then her own brows raise, she was a little surprised then again being in this town and after her dream she really shouldn’t be. “ you’re a witch too?” she asked, turning herself toward him the slightest bit more.

“how much do you want to know?” he asked her curiously and he offered her a smile before he wet his lips and he smiled at her. he wasn’t sure how much he wanted to tell her but he knew he had to tell her something. even if it was just things that were of useless information. 

“ i guess whatever you’re comfortable with sharing, i mean i know your name and that you’re a lawyer.. but that’s about it.” she mused, sipping from her beer but her eyes never once diverted from his face and a small smile pulled on her lips. “ tell me... something not many people know about you.”

«Some vampires don’t even like certain blood types.» Jace told her in a quiet tone before he gave her a grin. Not that he was trying to S P O O K his sister, he just wanted her to be aware of things now that she would have to be. It was the only way of keeping her safe. «The palace has a kitchen and there are chefs that work at every waking hour. We can get whatever you want to get, but first… off to the palace.» The hybrid told her as he paid for their pizza and reached for the box so they could get out of the shop.

“ really? well, i mean i guess that makes sense.. just like wines, or desserts, things like that.” she rambled on, it was going to take time to learn more about the reality of the world they lived in, she knew the lore behind it all but even knowing that there would still be details she wouldn’t, like the varieties of taste with vampires. “ that is awesome, very good to know.. especially for late night snacks. sir yes sir, lead the way.”

once she’d took the beer he moved to sit down and he watched her angle herself to look at him. raising an eyebrow. “you’re welcome.” he nodded and he took a drink from his own bottle and he sat back a bit against the couch and then his blue hues found their way back to her face. “glad you think so. it’s the only beer i’ll drink.” he shrugged. 

jade gave a nod, a smile pulled her lips upward before she opened the beer and took a sip. her eyes trail over him, watching as she sits back. “ good to know, i’m slowly learning more and more about you.” and yet she found herself wanting to know more and more about him.

he hummed and walked through to the kitchen, he took a breath. a deep breath before he walked to the fridge and opened it up. he pulled out a few beers but he stood for a moment he just stayed silent but shaking himself he moved and walked through to the living room. “here you go.” he hummed offering her the beer.

jade moved to the couch. she took a seat and crossed one leg over the other. she settled in and she looked around a bit more. she was able to feel so comfortable around him and she didn’t know why, but she liked it. when he came back in she looked up and a small smile pulled her lips as she took the beer. “ thank you.” she hummed, moving over to make more room for him to sit next to her. “ this is a good brew, you have very nice taste.” she hummed while angling herself toward him a bit more.

“oh, you work here!” rose chuckled. “sorry, didn’t realize. but yeah, i can keep you company!”

“ don’t be sorry, you have no reason to be.” jade shrugged her shoulders, a small smile on her lips. “ what about you though? can i get you a drink... if you’re of age that is.” 

pulling back was hard, moira was enjoying the hug after all. human contact felt good, warm. “i do.” she said in a quick way. “… i care. i want to know how i came back.”

“ well... we can try to figure it out? i just found out, myself, jonathan, and jace.. we uh, have this special thing that makes us different from others and it might be able to help.” jade offered, she didn’t want to say too much while she was unaware of what moira really knew or not.
