( miranda rae mayo / cisfemale / she/her / bisexual ) well, well, well… if it isn’t JADE ROSSI, the THIRTY SIX year old OWNER OF NONNA'S KITCHEN who is best known around town for WINNING THE LOTTERY THAT ONE TIME. apparently they’ve been living in UPTOWN for ALL HER LIFE and according to word on the street they are PRO-DEVELOPMENT / NEUTRAL / PRO-PRESERVATION. i’ve heard that they are quite ENERGETIC & DISORGANIZED, and if their life had a theme song it would be SHAKE IT OFF by TAYLOR SWIFT.

Jade Rossi was born as the only child to two hardworking parents who lived pay check to pay check. Her father was a mechanic who worked himself to the bone, while her mother worked at her parents restaurant as a cook. Jade spent most of her childhood in the last booth off to the side, drawing until crayons were replaced with homework that she got help with from various of the waiting staff who continuously checked in on her and served her apple juice and leftover pie until her mother got off work. Eventually, she became one of those waitresses while in high school— helping out her grandmother who sat at the cash, and mother who still worked in the kitchen— by waitressing and picking up finished plates.
The passing of her grandmother hit the family hard, sending a wake up call to both her parents who had gotten older and weaker with time. The consequences of years of physical work had reared its ugly head and while they took a step back and the financial burden got larger, Jade could only dive head first into keeping the nonna's kitchen open for both her late grandmother and her mother who now supervised from the cash. She worked hard, barely had any fun with her friends who, at the time, had begun to party and be adventurous. Eventually, she watched her friends go off to college with the hope of a bright future but she knew that her family would always come first and there was no regrets in her decision to stay behind in order to help her parents out.
It was just shy of her twenty second birthday that Jade bought a lottery ticket at random and won the winning ticket. While nothing close to a million, the 40,000 winnings was more than she'd ever had. Her first order of business was to clear her family from all the debt they had. Without any financial burden left, she stepped away from the restaurant and made up for the wasted time. She wasted money and partied, travelling and began to live her life to the fullest. While she was more reckless than her family would have desired, she still was in control of her decisions and returned home every few months. It was during those mid-twenties that she met a close knit group of friends. They stayed in contact, and when two of the four of them married and had children, she, alongside the male she now had a complicated history with, become godparents.
As her thirties approached and the desire to be more grounded now that her parents were having further complications, she returned home and bought out the restaurant that was barely staying alive. With a new makeover, it began to do better than ever.
As all good things eventually do, it came to an end for Jade. Harder than she could have ever imagined. It came in the form of tragedy that stopped her dead in her tracks. While already struggling with the realization that her parents were getting sicker, she was given the devastating news that her two best friends had tragically been involved in an accident, leaving their two year old without parents.
As she organized the funeral and cared for their little girl— the news that she, alongside the godfather, was put down as guardians was a shock. Though it was an easy and immediate decision for her to step in for family as she always did. Despite running her own business, dealing with caring for her parents, and now raising a two year old— it's the coparenting situation that she finds the hardest.
WANTED CONNECTIONS:
CO PARENT/EX SOMETHING/PAIN IN HER ASS: basically they were a group of foursomes, two of them got married and had a child, your chara and mine are the godparents and now are having to care for their friends child after they had an accident / this connection is on the main
LONG STANDING CUSTOMERS: she now owns nonna's kitchen which was her grandmothers so any long standing customers would know her and watched her grow up
NEIGHBOUR: someone that has helped her with her parents and who she probably owes so much money because they've brought back her wandering parents or helped them do housework.
