“Really? Well, what did you go as? I was thinking The Hulk before he transformed, but that’s not very cool.”

Well, Allison, you are now one of my favorite students. I have no shame in admitting that I have a bit of favoritism going on. Being a nerd just got you on my good side.

what is a “comic con”?

It’s a convention! It has a lot of people and celebrities that are involved with comic books, and such. It seems very cool. It’s a very big event here in town. How have you not heard of it?

Oh sure you do. You don’t have the body for Thor, but I think you could pull off Captain America. Besides, there are far skinnier guys wearing the costume.

Have you seen Captain America? I mean, if I’m gonna dress up, I would hope that I could actually pull it off. Maybe I could go as the Hulk before he transforms.

Really? But every time I see pictures, every one is dressed up in some elaborate costume. I thought it was a sort of rule to get in.

“Well, if I go as Spider-Man, maybe you shouldn’t do Batman. Iron Man definitely seems like a good idea! You kinda sorta have the face for it.”
