hmm. so, here's the thing. i don't actually think he HAS a "champ"! or at least, not in my interpretation. there is a doghouse in his yard, but it's like so pixelated i can't tell if that's just snowy dirt in there or there's a sleeping dog or some shit. we never really see a dog by his side, nor hear one (not even in the home theme).

but anyways, my personal belief is that he doesn't have a dog. the doghouse was just left behind by the previous owners of the property, and he hasn't gotten around to disposing of it. there is another purpose to me writing it this way. i wanted p1 to be as isolated as possible at home. i want him to be a "worst case scenario" of sorts when compared to the other dudes. he lacks a stable support system.

i relate to bits of p1 and bits of p2. fitting, considering theyre my favorites. dunno if theres one i definitively relate to "most".

i remember p1's war journals (the ones written from the "demon's" perspective) made me especially uneasy, because a lot of them remined me of the thoughts i tended to churn out when i would get manic. vaguely poetic, gleeful, barely coherent, occasionally religious (i'm agnostic, for the record, but in very desperate times i suddenly became interested in faith) etc etc. so i could connect to him in that sense. then there's also the matter of his paranoia and erratic behavior. i am a very paranoia-prone person myself. i think he suffers from persecutory delusions. i havent experienced full-on delusions (i have suffered from "magical thinking" instead), but i have definitely experienced strong, irrational fears in relation to these things. i also generally relate to the concept of feeling like a terrified animal backed into a corner with no choice but to lash out at your "attackers", whether they're real or imagined.

hmmmm and then theres p2 dude. i think my disposition is more in line with him. theres many instances where my range of outward emotion is more muted, like his. ive improved on this as ive gotten older and gotten better with masking, but i also used to be pretty monotone. i do still say a lot of things with a dry delivery like he does, and i tend to have a vocal fry. but ofc i work two jobs in customer service so i have my "voice" for that, too. i have also come to realize within the past half-year or so that i do have some antisocial traits. not going to unload all of that HERE obviously, but i relate to p2 dude having limited emotional investment in the lives of others. the way that he really prefers to keep to himself and seems to have this passive frustration, boredom, or repulsion towards most others around him. he can be charismatic, but his charisma is sort offfff perfunctory, if that makes sense. oh and of course, i also have my fair share of. um. morbid/violent thoughts towards others, much like he does. but naturally i do not act on them because going to jail would be quiiiite inconvenient LOL.
