Maggie: Because not everything in my life has to be about you! We may be involved but that doesn't give you some all-access key to me, Jarret! You act like this and then you wonder why I just haven't fully jumped into your arms? Because I can't until we get past this. I am not some piece of property. However good your intentions are sometimes your need to have a handle on everything for me makes me feel suffocated. I don't get why that is so hard for you to fucking understand!

“Oh, no. No. I’m not that creepy,” she exhaled with a light laugh. “I’d at least give you the courtesy of a wink and a smile, accompanied by the nod toward the door. What I’m trying to say is, you’re a nice looking man so I wouldn’t put it past any woman here to try to get you alone.”

“So... should I be watching you tonight waiting for those signals then?” Jarret again teased. He smiled what was intended to be something of a humble smile, a nod accompanying that. “I find the older I get the less women are propositioning me in public places. It’s a shame, really.”

“Okay, fair point however the bad news is I don’t think there is anywhere here that you’re going to find some peace and quiet. I mean, you could risk it in a closet but I can’t guarantee someone isn’t going to get thrown in for a round of seven minutes in heaven and you don’t really want to be stuck with them…”

“I’m also at a point in life that I’m definitely above doing anything but picking clothes and fucking in a closet,” Jarret shrugged, glancing around. “And what about you? You going to let some poor sucker feel you up in a coat closet?”

She wished that she had a drink in her system before facing him but with treatments she had been cutting back. Only having some wine when Jarret offered so he didn’t notice anything. “I’m surprised you have made it here this long,” she offered the conversation though she wasn’t naive to how this would go.

“And I’m surprised to see you so soon. I thought for sure those 7 minutes would turn into forty- five,” his eyes glanced up to where she’d come from. He wasn’t about to tip-toe around it. He was sure she knew that.

“Oh yes. I think that the conference room is somewhere between that couple swapping spit and the spiked candy station where that guy is currently upchucking.”

“What’re the odds I get some sort of airborne disease making my way through that path?”

“That depends. Is it a work call or a ‘hey I’m here, come pick me up’ kind of call?” 

“Are there different rooms for those two types of calls? What’s it matter to you?”

“The only private places I’ve seen are the ‘seven minutes’ spaces, but be careful. You might have someone join you if they see you sneaking off alone.”

“Is that you telling me you’re watching and waiting for a moment alone with me?” Jarret teased gently.

“Do you mean actually take a phone call or do you mean sneak out the back good instead?”

“If I were going to leave, what would stop me from just going out the front exit?”

“No, no.” She scolded, stealing the phone from his hand, putting it behind her back. “Fun only.”

Jarret glanced around the room before returning his eyes to Maggie. "I’m fairly certain I’d have more fun on a business call than playing any of these kid games.”

Maggie: I know you can but I know the pleasures that you find in a good sit down meal.

James: Well that is a backhanded compliment!

Jamie: Am I allowed to ask what they did?

Maggie: Take out? You must really need to be getting those frustrations out.

“No no no. You promised that I would get to choose what we do this once. You can’t back out.”

“Why is it that your choices always happen to suck so bad?”

A wave of frustration came when he didn’t just go with her little act for him. “So the meat was a little undercooked and I got it out of my system,” she explained, her tone slightly defensive as he seemed to be turning her down. It wasn’t the rejection making her react as much as it was the fear of him noticing her situation. “I’m brushing over it because I am fine and yes believe it or not I really like having sex with you.”

“Nobody just goes from getting that shit out of their system to ready to go, so I don’t know what the fuck you’re trying to prove by brushing past it like this.” Jarret’s own frustration came out, the longer this went on, the more it seemed like something else was happening he wasn’t aware of. “You really like it, doesn’t mean you need to want it all the damn time.”

Ken: Yes but I also know when your temper can get the better of you. Did he say how long it was breached for?
