hi everyone! i just recently joined Tumblr and i have found the courage to start actually blogging and being active on here. learn more about me! ➴

why did I join Tumblr? I joined Tumblr a year-ish ago after finding out what it was through TikTok. I mainly joined to read fanfics about shows/movies that I watched, specifically outer banks.. 😋 however, around this time I also started getting back into shifting so I decided to convert from shiftok to shiftblr (I think that's what its called?)

my journey with shifting - Around 2020/2021 I was getting lots of shifting content on my feed, especially on TikTok, (as everyone else was at the time) I didn't give any time into actually learning what it was. I just skimmed through a few comments, told myself "I wonder if it's even real," and scrolled to the next video. Around this time, a lot of people were also lying about their experiences so that didn't help my beliefs of shifting either. In 2023, I rediscovered shifting. At this time, I had a lot of drama going on in my life and I thought that an escape would be nice, so I started to let my curiosity get the better of me. I spent hours online on Reddit, TikTok, youtube, and even Tumblr. It had consumed a lot of my thoughts and I would find myself "half-assing" my shifting attempts. I gave up for a while and started again in November of 2024. Again, there was a lot of drama in my life and I wanted to actually shift this time. I took a break mid-january because I was drained and I lost a lot of motivation. I came back about a month or two ago and here we are now! I've lost count of how many times i've attempted to shift, and I don't even have count of how many times i've shifted because I haven't. Yet. However, I did enter the void state, which I'll probably write about later.

when your running through kildare island and always getting into some sort of trouble, you don't exactly have time to make things all pretty. your bag, being included. here's a list of things that are always shoved into my backpack (or purse) ! ｡𖦹°‧

ᴋᴇʏꜱ - my keys for the house + garage, but no key to the twinkie because john b hogs it

ᴀɪʀᴘᴏᴅꜱ/ᴡɪʀᴇᴅ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴘʜᴏɴᴇꜱ - i keep both of these for separate reasons. i can look mysterious with my wired headphones, while airpods are more useful for when i'm running around town

ᴡᴀʟʟᴇᴛ - even though me and john b share a black card, he can never be trusted with it, which is why i keep it in my wallet along with other stray dollar bills and random pieces of paper with scribbled on information

ꜱᴀꜰᴇᴛʏ ᴋɴɪꜰᴇ - got as a souvenir from a small gift shop that we stopped by on our way up to the outer banks. it'll most likely be useful

ꜱᴀꜰᴇᴛʏ ᴋɪᴛ - a small pouch i keep with bandaids and other stuff that might be useful. i should probably restock it soon...

ʜᴇɴɴᴀ ᴄᴏɴᴇ - a hobby that i picked up a while ago, and people always ask if i can do designs on them--to which i always say "yes!"

ᴅɪɢɪᴛᴀʟ ᴄᴀᴍᴇʀᴀ - got as a gift for my birthday last year, and i couldn't stop using it since. it's filled with pictures of me, john b, our dad and random cinematic shots

ᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇᴅ ᴄʜᴀʀɢᴇʀꜱ - i quite literally always stress whenever my airpods, phone, or even digital camera reach 20%, which is why i have to bring chargers with me

ᴇʏᴇʟᴀꜱʜ ᴄᴜʀʟᴇʀ - its halfway broken, but its been my ride or die for a while and i can't seem to throw it away yet. plus, i'm too lazy to get a new one

ᴊᴏʜɴ ʙ'ꜱ ꜰᴀᴋᴇ ɪᴅ - found it in the hallway and quickly shoved it into my bag before our dad could see. i still have to return it to john b

ꜱᴜʀꜰ ᴡᴀx - whenever i go surfing, i usually forget my wax and have to borrow john b's, which is why my bag is now its new home.

ᴀɴ ᴏʟᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ ʙᴏᴛᴛʟᴇ - i drank all the water from it and now use it to collect small shells or rocks i find a long the beach

ᴀʟᴛᴏɪᴅ'ꜱ ᴄᴀɴ - filled with jewelry, trinkets, and a littlest pet shop (not sure how that got there)

ꜱɪʟᴠᴇʀ ɴᴀɪʟ ꜰɪʟᴇ - always falls to the bottom of my bag and is a pain to search for but i still keep it in there anyway. comes in handy whenever i need to pick a lock open, though

ᴀɴ ᴏꜰꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱʜᴏᴜʟᴅᴇʀ ꜱʜɪʀᴛ - simply took it off and shoved it into my bag at the beach and forgot to put it in the laundry bin...

June 2nd, 2026 the second john b and I got home from the last day of school, our father finished packing up the car with our belongings. even though our parents had divorced a few years back and john b and I knew about the move, I couldn't help but feel melancholic. school had never been the best for either of us. john b was always getting into some sort of trouble and I could hardly keep any long lasting bonds between the other girls in class. still, I would miss visiting the florida beaches to go surf with john b. and getting açaí bowls that made our stomachs hurt after. the car ride up to north carolina would be busy, and we would have to make stops along the way, which i dreaded. I put my backpack on the floor of the backseat before sliding into my seat. I close my eyes as the car starts, trying to imagine the life in a new state. if I could hardly make connections in the city i've lived in my whole life, how would I make them in an entirely new state?
