It has been seven months since the argument, you had with Neteyam. After the argument you realized that you should get yourself together. So you started. And it was getting better.

It was about over fifteen minutes after the hunting party returned. You were in the nursing hut preparing treatment paste. You were alone because Kiri and Moat left to help the others.

Crushing herbs weren't your favorite thing to do but it had to be done. Then You heard someone walk in. Looking up from the herbs you were welcomed with none other than Neteyam.

He stopped when he saw you were there alone. "Uhm hey. Do you know where is my sister or grandmother?" He asked after ten seconds of being silenece. "Hi, yeah, they went to help the other injured hunters." He cursed under his breath when you continued. "Are you injured?" He looked at you for a second then nodded. "Oh..Then come sit, I will help you" you smiled "you don't have to" ofc you have to "It's my job"

That was how you ended in the same hut alone with your exboyfriend. There was awkward silenece, the only sound you could hear was Neteyam hissing. "I'm sorry. Just five more minutes". After three minutes Neteyam decided to broke the silenece "So uhm..How are you?" You furrowed your eyebrows at one deep cut starting to clean it. "I'm good. How about you?" He hissed when you pressed too hard on the wound "I'm good. Well right now I'm dying but we won't talk about it." You let out a little laugh. Then you continued in silenece. Just not in a awkward silenece.

Those five minutes flew by quickly. "You will put this on your cuts every morning and night. But on the cuts on your back just usk Lo'ak or Kiri for help" He nodded "Okay. Got it" he said and took the bowl from your hand. "Thank you for not letting me die" he smiled "Well if I did your parents would kill me" he nodded laughing "yeah, maybe". He walked to the exit and waved "bye".

It was night. Stars starting to show up on the dark sky and you were sitting on one of yours and Neteyam's favorite spot. You though that you wouldn't meet him there. Well you were wrong. A tall blue figure was walking to you from behind. "Hey" someone said behind you. You quickly turned around "Oh Eywa you scared me Neteyam" Why Eywa? Why would you do this to me? Screaming in your head while smiling at him was something you didn't know would ever happen after your break up. "Can I sit?" He suddenly asked. What? "Yeah, yeah" No ofc no!

That was how you ended sitting next to Neteyam after seven months of getting healed. "You remember the day we found this place?" you heard him ask. Your eyes widened a little hearing these words coming from his mouth. You turned your head to look at him "Yeah" Why he was asking you that?! Your head was full of thoughts and the little voices were fighing. He laughed. What is funny? "We were running like little kids laughing our asses off when we found this. It was almost eclipse when we were sitting here." He started looking around. To be honest you did too. Remembering all the memories mainly from the day he was talking about.

A little smile found a way to your lips but when you realized it you quickly shook it off. Don't smile, don't smile. Why are you smiling?! Yeah. Your head was busy. So busy. "We made a promise here" he continued. You looked at him "Never show this place to anyone" you almost rolled your eyes at this. "And I didn't" But he did with the other spot! The spot you two first met! You wanted to stop these voices but you just couldn't. "But you showed the spot to someone" you whispered but he heard it. He looked at you then you looked at him "you showed her out first spot. The spot we met on!" Ugh stop crying. You were tired of the voices. "Why did you do that?" He shaked his head "Y/n almost all the beautiful places in the forest became our spots" you scoffed. You were confused. He was confusing you. So much.

Silenece. You wanted to leave but you just couldn't. You didn't know why. Then something in you changet and your lips started moving saying things you had on your mind really long time. "I won't lie i still think about you every now and then. And I still cry over things you said that day" He wasn't looking at you but you didn't care bacause you knew he was listening "Funny how you think after all you did you can walk back to my life." Go girl! Maybe the voices weren't that bad. "Funny how you think the stories about us will make things right." No tears. You were surprised "I told myself that I hate you so it would be easier to let you go" he looked at you "I'm sorry" he whispered.

You didn't stop. You wanted him to know how you felt "I won't lie, I always knew that you were growing tired of me so you made excuses." Talking about the night he canceled your date. And by the look on his face you knew that he knew what you were talking about. "Found myself while waiting for you to show up." You stopped, taking a deep breath then continuing "Found myself talking to the walls" was it good idea to tell him everything? Well you didn't know. You just didn't want to keep it in yourself anymore. "You remember the time you didn't want to tell your family? You even kept me us secret for a while. I don't know why I never said anything. But I knew i was tired of it" He turned to you "I was scared" you looked at you "so was I! But I was able to put myself aside for us!"

He kept quiet for a minute "I'm sorry. Okay? I just-..I made a lot of mistakes. But I want to make things right" he paused "I want to make things between us right. I want you to be alright" He looked at you when you laughed at his words "What's funny?" You shaked your head "Funny how you think that after you did i'd be doing alright" you stood up wanting to leave "No, no. Don't go. Look i know what I did! Okay? But i'm sorry for that" he still didn't get it. You were angry, sad and tired because of everything. Because of him. So you yelled.."It's funny how you think that your little sorry's can heal the scars you left behind!" Your eyes widened. Even Neteyam's did. Now it was time for you to leave. Thats why you turned around and walked away.

While leaving him standing there you couldn't stop the tears falling down from your eyes to your cheeks. You really wanted to turnd around but you didn't. You didn't. It was easier to let him go..

Yellow guilty eyes and little white lies, yeah. I played dumb but I always knew why you talked to her.

His beautiful yellow eyes were looking in yours. His hands holding yours while you were explaining something "You can tell me if there is someting more between you two" he shaked his head "Yawntu, Anla is friend of yours and that's why I talk to her" You smiled at him even though you didn't really believe him. Well you weren't dump.

Maybe did even worse. I kept quiet, so I could keep you.

It was celebration in your clan. Celebrating another win agaist the sky people. You were sitting next to Kiri. Kiri was talking about her dream when you noticed your best friend talking to Neteyam. She was laughing at his joke while he was watching her. Almost like his eyes were full of hearts. "What's wrog?" Neteyam asked you after the celebration "Nothing. I'm just tired". It wasn't nothing you were thinking about the moment on the celebration.

And ain't it funny how you ran to her the second that we called it quits?

You were in the middle of an argument with Neteyam. "So this is the end?" You asked. Tears burning in your eyes. "I can't do it anymore" he said looking in your eyes. "Or she can't do it anymore?" He chuckled and walked away from you. So this was the end? You saw him smiling with her the same night you called it quits.

And ain't it funny how you said you were friends? Now it sure as hell don't look like it.

Hugging him while he was comforting you was all you could ask for. "She is just friend. Your friend and mine friend. And that will never change" you smiled at his words. Now? Now he was hugging her the same like he did to you in that moment. When he saw you looking at them he just looked away. And you knew that he would never feel sorry for the way you were hurt.

Loved you at your worst but that didn't matter.

"It's okay 'teyam. I'm here" you said holding him close to your chest while he was crying bacause of todays fight with the sky people "Almost fifty warriors died today. Fifty. And I can't do anything about it" he sniffled "I know, i know. And I'm so sorry. But It's not your fault. Its not your fault nete".

It took you two weeks to go off and date her guess you didn't cheat,

It has been two weeks since you and Neteyam broke up. Two weeks since you walked out of your hut. But today you finnaly were out hanging out with Kiri. "I'm so happy to see you again, Y/n. I missed you" you smiled at her "I missed you too,Kiri". You two were now making a neklace for each other when you heard a laughter. You knew who it was. Neteyam and Anla. You wanted to say something to Kiri but then you saw the two of them smiling in a kiss. but you're still a traitor.

Now you bring her around just to shut me down, show her off like she's a new trophy.

Talking to Neytiri on the clans dinner even after your break up with Neteyam was on daily basis. Even though she was your ex's mother she was more like a sister or friend to you. "Well yesterday's date with Jake was really good. I enjoyed it" she was smiling at the memory. "That's amazing. Were you stargazing again or?" She nodded her head "Yeah." You smiled. Then you saw Neteyam and Anla walking to the table. His hand on her lower back. You knew this posture. He was showing her off.

And I know if you were true there's no damn way that you Could fall in love with somebody that quickly.

"You can't catch me" you yelled at him laughing. "I can and I will" said Neteyam running after you. Laugher filling the forest. You were running out of breath but you didn't stop. Then you felt him pulling you into his chest. "I have you" he smirked. "You won this time". He leaned his forehead agaist yours. "I see you". How could he stop seeing you that quickly?

And ain't it funny, all the twisted games, all the questions you used to avoid?

"I'm not playing some games or how you call it, love" he said holding your hands. "I was hunting that time" he continued. "Then how Kiri and Tuk could see you two together?" he sighed "We caught a big animal today with the hunting party." Ofc he avoided the question. "

Ain't it funny, remember I brought her up? And you told me I was paranoid.

"It's always her, her and her 'teyam. I can't do it anymore." He looked at you 'confused'. "I mean..The way you look at Anla is different." He shaked his head at your words "You are being paranoid Y/n. I am looking at her like at the others. The only person I look different at is you".

Talking with Lo'ak was still the same. You could talk to him about anything and everything. Like right now you were stargazing with him. "You know. I heard that when you wish something while looking at the stars it can come true?" You laughed "It's when you see a feeding star" he chuckled "Well yeah. But we can try even now" he looked at you. "Okay" you nodded. "You go first" he said. You started thinking "Eywa, I wish that he had thought this through Before I went and fell in love with him" you said after closing your eyes. Lo'ak knew who you were talking about. He knew you were talking about his brother. "And I wish for you to move on.

When she's sleepin' in the bed we made. Don't you dare forget about the way..

I was walking to our spot hoping i won't meet him there. And I didn't. Well I didn't meet just him there. In the bed that was standing in the middle of a grassy meadow the two of them lay. She was laying on his chest while he was caressing her arm. Both of them smiling from ear to ear. you betrayed me..

It felt silly standing in front of Neteyam after three months of ignoring each other. "What you want to talk about?" You asked. His eyes were looking at you, reminding the feelings you had..Maybe still have for him. "Uhm. We haven't talk in a while. And I just wanted to know how you are" you furrowed your eyebrows. What? "I'm good. What about you?" He smiled a little "I'm doing good." It was silenece. You were looking at you hands feeling nervous. "Why did you stop talking to me?" He asked.

You looked at him for a second. Was he being serious? "Are you being serious?" You asked hoping he will just say its a joke "I just want to know what happened" he shrugged. "Maybe i stopped talking to you because we broke up" you said "Some people are still friends after they break up" you scoffed. You were holding your tears back.

"But you betrayed me and I know that you'll never feel sorry for the way I hurt, you talked to her when we were together" you took a deep breath. When you saw he wasn't saying anything you continued "Remember the day you gave me your word? But that doesn't matter! It took you two weeks to go off and date her" It was phatetic for you to cry but you couldn't stop. "I am a traitor? I didn't cheat!" He said "Guess you didn't cheat, but you're still, you're still a traitor" he tried to take your hand but you snapped it away from him "Eywa, I wish that you had thought this through before I went and fell in love with you"

Yeah, he's still a traitor.

It has been a several months since you and the Sully's arrived at the Matkeyina clan. At first it was amazing and you loved it here. But then you started to notice how your boyfriend Neteyam started to get close to one of the metkeyina girls Awun.

She was so beautiful to you. Her long black hair falling down her back and her big blue eyes sparkling on the sun. She had the most beautiful smile that could lit the whole clan.

You weren't surprised when Neteyam walked to you asking you to talk. "Hey, Y/n can we talk?" He asked. You were making a bracelet for Tuk that moment. You looked up at him and nodded your head "Yeah, yeah. What's wrong?" He sat in front of you and took a deep breath "So uhm. You know Awun right?" Your heart skipped a beat. "What?" You laughed hurtly "It is some joke Lo'ak told you to do?" Your eyes were starting to well with tears. "Y/n..I'm so sorry. I just..I can't stop my feelings, I can't change them" Were you dreaming? "So i guess its not a joke" you said looking away from him "Y/n you mean a lot to me okay? That's why I dont want to lie to you" you nodded your head. "You wanted to mate with me like five months ago." You looked at him remembering the last night in the forest.

You were sitting in a cave you and Neteyam found when you were kids. Your head was on his shoulder while his hand was caressing your palm. "Nothing will change yawne. Everything will be the same except the place." He confronted you "But what if there will be some other girl you will find more pretty and interesting" the tears in your eyes didnt go unnoticed by him. You nodded "yeah i will be there in 5 minutes" she smiled sadly and walked away. You turned to the exit looking at the ocean remembering another memory.

You were standing in the same spot looking at yourself in the mirror. "You ready?" You heard familiar voice. You turned around faicing them. Neteyam "You look beautiful, yawne" you smiled. "Thank you. You don't look bad yourself." He chuckled "thanks. So are you ready?" He asked again. "Yeah. I am. Lets go".

It was memory from the night everything changet. It was memory from the night where Neteyam met Awun. It was memory from the night you and Neteyam started drifting apart. You were crying on the spot. You were realizing what was about to happen. Neteyam and Awun becoming mates. It's okay. You walked out of the hut being welcomed with Kiri. "Hi Y/n" you smiled at her "Hi Kiri" Then you heard Jake say "We need to go"

It..It hurted. Your heart was being teared apart in the spot when you realized they are mated for life now. But now it was even worse. Seeing him that happy with her was making you question yourself Was he even that happy with me? Maybe not. Maybe yes. But you didn't know. And you maybe even didn't want to know. You were looking at him seeing him laughing at hers joke. Did he ever laugh that much with me? That was when he looked at you. It was more that 5 seconds that you were looking at each other, neither of you being able to look away. Your eyes started watering when it hit you. Your eyes weren't full of yours future anymore.

You were going stargazing with your best friend Neteyam. It was almost night that's why you were walking to the Sully's tent. But when you arrived there and were ready to walk in you heard Neteyam talking to his parents "I know, I know. Look, I already have someone in my mind" What? "We get it. But you need to get us. You are the next Olo'eyktan, you need to have mate, mate who will make a good tsahik by your side one day" Jake said. Oh. You wanted to walk away but then you heard "I get it. I understand. I just don't want to mate with someone i don't love. And as i said i have someone in my mind. Someone who i see" another oh. That was when you walked away.

You started walking into the forest, to your favorite place. A smile found your lips when you saw that you arrived there. In the middle of a lots of plants, flowers and trees was a pond with a rock next to it.

You sat on the rock and started thinking. Why Neteyam didn't tell you about it? Is he gonna end your friendship because of mating? What if he asked you to stargaze tonight just because of that? Just because he didn't want to be friends with you anymore. You started to tear up from you toughts. You had crush on him since your childood. Sometimes you were even thinking about being in love with him, but now when you knew that he was going to mate with someone else it was tearing your heart.

It's been about an hour since you were sitting there. That was when you heard something behind you. You turned your head and saw him. Your best friend.

Your teary eyes and white dots on your skin were glowing in the moonlight. You looked perfect. "Hey" he said and sat next to you. "Hi" you replied while looking at the sky "So, how are you?" You were sitting in silence but then he broke it. "Are you okay syulang?" You thought a little, should you tell him? "Yeah, yeah I am. Why are you asking?" He shrugged "You just feel a little bit off" you looked at him for a second "I am fine".

He looked from the sky at you. "You can tell me everything. You know that right?" You nodded your head "Yeah, I know. Its nothing, really". You saw in his eyes that he didn't believe you, but you still didn't tell him anything "Why didn't you show up at my tent?" He suddenly asked. Your eyes widened a little. You did, you did show up. You wanted to tell him, but then you'd have to tell him that you heard his talk about the thing with his parents.

Your eyes started to tear up at the though of it. "Syulang, what's up with you?" His hand moved to lay on your thigh. You skaked your head "I just..I heard you talking to your parents" you sniffled "about mating with someone." You looked at him nervously. He was looking at you confused. "I don't get what you are saying" you wipped your tears away and smiled sadly at him "It's okay. Its nothing. I should go back home" Then Neteyam got it.

You were starting to stand up, but then you felt Neteyam's hand grab yours. He stood up too, looking down at you, wipping your tears then keeping his hand on your cheek. "Why are you crying ma Y/n?" You looked down at the grassy ground. Just say it. "I love you 'teyam. Okay? But I know you don't fell it that way . That's why." You looked at him with teary eyes. Before he said anything you started talking"I heard how you told your parents that you like someone. And.." you took a deep breath "want them to be your mate." He smiled down at you "I think it's time for telling you that I want you to be my mate"

It was silence. You were looking at each other. Nobody saying anything "You mean it?" He smiled at your question "Yeah, I mean it." You looked at his lips than again in his eyes "Can I kiss you?" A chuckle escaped his throat. Then his lips were on yours. Butterflies flied in your stomach. You wrapped your hands around his neck while his hands were holding your waist. You pulled away after some seconds to take a breath.

It didn't take long for you two to lay down on the rock and start stargazing. A smile on your lips thinking about who you were with.

You looked at Neteyam who was already looking at you. "I think that our friendship will change a little" you laughed at his words. "Yeah it definitely will".

It was amazing. You were happy. Smiling at the thought that It's you who he sees.
