Trying to finish this before the Legends of Avantris stream ends for the final kickstarter count down, but if not then it's going to be 3 art panels with Strive and Pyke interacting and some fun dialog. Also this crossover WILL happen in the Neon Odyssey D&D universe as a stretch goal if they hit 15 million on kickstarter and they're super close right now! KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN HERE
Also I just saw some idiot being like "no one's ever gonna want to make an indie show again if TADC's finale is bad!!!"
And like. Holy shit what a bleak view of indie animation and people's creativity.
You think PPPIDWTBAMG is gonna fall off because of this? You think Fly and Hey! are gonna get cancelled because a Glitch cartoon flopped? You think My Girlfriend Enid and Stuck in the Globosphere are gonna nuke their Kickstarters because of this? You think smaller works like Mako and the Moon Killers and Starview (yes I'm aware they're made by the same person but still) are gonna never get animated just because TADC failed?
Do you think that?
Do you really think that?
Happy Pride. Tammy's in her happy place.
Had a really great panel yesterday at Momocon.
Myself @breanimator / @thethreetomes and my brother ToonrificTariq had a panel to discuss Indie Animation as Black Creators and share our indie series that we're working on. We talked about the development of our projects , why we chose to do our work independently and the future of indie and what this means in relation to us as Black creators specifically.
We both also showed some clips from our shows. He showed a bit of the animatic from the Hey pilot and I showed a early WIP sequence of Episode 2 of TTT.
And shared that our Kickstarter is coming for episode 2 on June 19th
A queer YA coming-of-age story about a black teen witch girl in the 2010s, fighting monsters and falling in love with vampires.
At the Panel , Tariq and I got to meet fans of our work individually and fans who enjoy both and folks who may not have seen our stuff discovered it and are now supporters . Folks gave fanart , he had his first cosplayer , I met some people who had done fanart for TTT online in person and it's just been really great getting to see that so many folks are touched by the shows we're making. That our stories mean something for Black folks and making them feel seen.
Support Tariq's Kickstarter too . He's reached his goal but he's got plenty of stretch goals to hit along the way

A coming of age story about Black kids who finally have power to fight back against systems designed against them.
Let's take a look at what The Three Tomes is about for the new folks out there.
A YA queer coming of age story about a Black bi teen girl turned witch , and the the two bi vampire boys after her heart.
I grew up in the Midwest . My teen years were the 2010s and I never saw myself in the teen media that I consumed. Twilight , Buffy , Hunger games , the magic series by the terf who shall not be named ... It was all fun back then sure, but I never noticed til I got older that characters who looked like me were rarely centered in adventure fantasy stories . Black people may have been present but weren't prominent...got sidelined ....died ..... Or were the disposable black girlfriend/boyfriend/partner.
Flash forward to me working in animation for nearly 10 years now.... I see Cancellations of shows , so many that are black , brown and queer, mergers, AI, the hostility to our people and marginalized people as a whole in this political climate , and the desire to create being trampled on.
I said y'know what ....I want to make something for me. For the me that would have wanted this when I was younger ...as a queer black femme person ...I wanted to make something that reflected the stories I loved but never saw myself in .
Black folks can be whimsical , magical , witches , vampires , mermaids , dwarves ...anything. We belong in these stories and deserve Black joy . Especially now.
You can watch Episode 1 on YouTube and I hope of it catches your fancy , you support me once I launch the Kickstarter for episode 2 next month. Thank you, truly - Bre

I'm Alexis! I forage out in the VERY untamed wilderness of scenic Ohio. Stick around and find out how we're all surrounded by amazing plants

hello! Do you need help writing or editing the script of your indie animation project? I am an experienced writer, and I would love to help. Here are some examples of my more recent work:
Hawks didnât know what to do. He kept trying to prove that Green Screen had no ill will and was just being manipulated. However, that was becoming increasingly difficult. It seemed like the kid was truly loyal to the MLA. He was climbing the ranks fast, especially for a teenager. It almost seemed like his goal was to join the inner circle. Hawks knew how society praised those with strong quirks, making them feel invincible and even entitled to authority and power, while those with weak or undesirable quirks were seen as less than dirt. It was a sad reality he had ignored. After all, that was how society was. In the end, the people chose the path of villainy; no sad story excuses murder or arson or thieving, or anything else morally wrong for that matter.
In the past month alone, Green Screen has already well respected among the MLA. Skeptic even relied on Green Screenâs post for information. Hawks wasnât in the inner circle yet, so the best he had were rumors. But heâd heard the MLA was considering making Green Screen the co-leader of their information department alongside Skeptic. Hawks was at a gathering when he saw Green Screen talking to Curious.
âI got the report you want, Curious.â
âGood job, kid,â Curious smirked. âKeep this up and maybe youâll be in the inner circle soon.â
âThank you, Curious,â Green Screen smiled.
Hawks had faced many villains in his time as a hero, manipulative ones, violent ones, even ones that doubted themselves. A smile can tell you a lot about a personâs true intentions. The look in their eye, the tensing or loosening of their jaw, the showing of teeth or sealed lips. All pointed to oneâs true motives and goals. But in all his time, Hawks had never seen a smile like Green Screenâs. There was a hint of doubt in his eyes, but at the same time, his loose jaw implied he knew what he was doing, and yet his clenched showing of teeth when he talked to any member of the MLA showed annoyance. It was a confusing mix of conflicting signals that Hawks just couldnât put together. He just hoped he could find SOME true evidence this kid was being forced or manipulated.
Izuku had just turned in the final report about the League of Villains. He decided to watch the news with some low-ranking members. He saw that his reports on Endeavorâs abuse were getting him hounded by reporters. It was satisfying to see him forced to confront the abuse he dealt out, but it also made Izuku spiteful. Despite the clear evidence of abuse, Endeavor was still a hero. Neither the HPSC nor the police had taken action to punish him. It was a sickening reality check that people with strong quirks and powerful titles can truly get away with anything in this world, and if the MLA stuck around, that was almost guaranteed to be set in stone.
Izuku had decided against going to high school, instead finishing an early GED and focusing on working up the ranks of the MLA. The only way he could stop them was by joining their inner circle of knowing all their true plans. Until then, he couldnât ask questions, couldnât snoop around, couldnât go in high-value areas for information. He had to play the long game, but the more he dealt with these quirkist bastards, the more determined he was to shut this uprising down. He tried to remain pleasant. Doing his best to play up the role of a spoiled, powerful quirk user who was dedicated to the cause, but it got harder and harder.
Izuku may have never lashed out, but he was angry growing up. Why did he get abused, and Bakugou get praised? Why did his quirklessness- something he couldnât control- define his place in society? Why did people look past his abuse, just so Kacchan succeeded when he didnât deserve to? Why was the world set on making Izuku fail?
Hitoshi sat in class. They were close to the sports festival, and he knew he had to train hard. He considered asking Izuku for advice on how to use his quirk to win. But Hitoshi knows how quick people will be to say thatâs cheating and get him disqualified. So, instead, he turned to the support department for any gear to get approved. As he arrived at the door, it blew off its hinges. Hitoshi was knocked to the ground, and a girl landed on top of him.
âHIYA! Welcome to the support course lab! What can I do for you?â The girl said in a slightly manic tone.
âWell, for one, you can get off of me,â Hitoshi deadpanned.
âOh! Sorry âbout that!â The girl stood up and gave him a hand. âNameâs Hatsume Mei! Future CEO of Hatsume Industries!â
âHitoshi,â Hitoshi replied simply. âI need some gear to help me in the sports festival⊠My quirk is⊠well⊠itâs not physical. Iâll say that much.â
âOf course! This way!â Hatsume smirked. âYou got any designs in mind?â
âPotentially, something that can help with speed, as it is a competition, a race is bound to happen.â
âOoo! I got the perfect baby for ya!â
âBaby?â Hastume pulled out a grappling pack.
âThis baby can fly 200 meters with ease. Just need to finalize the design, and itâs all yours!â
âThanksâŠâ Hitoshi muttered, turning to leave.
âHold it!â Hitoshi turned to face Mei. âHereâs my number. Call me if you get any ideas for future babies!â
âUhm, sure,â Hitoshi took the piece of paper and left. âThe support course is insane.â
GAGE - Generative Adaptive Growth Entity
Pilot Script
Scene 1:
The scene depicts a dimly lit laboratory with robot parts scattered throughout the room. Machines rest in the corner and hang from the ceiling. Father leans over a child-like robot exoskeleton, sparks flying as he wears safety goggles to protect his eyes. He chuckles, putting his goggles on his head.
Father (anxious): âThey said it couldnât be done⊠They called me mad⊠But you will be like no other robot before you, my little G.A.G.E.â
Gage stares blankly at the ceiling, their eyes darkened from inactivity, lying on the examination table. Father grits his teeth and presses a few buttons on a control panel. Two robotic arms come down, and Father puts on his gloves and goggles. With a smirk, Father watches as GAGEâs eyes light up. Father cackles like a madman.
Father (arrogant): âIT WORKED!!! IT GOD DAMN WORKED!!!â
Father laughs as GAGE sits up. GAGE looks around the room before their eyes land on their father.
GAGE (confused): âWho are you?â
Father smiles softly at his creation.
Father (faux kindness): âI am your father. You are my daughter.â
GAGE looks around the room once more before their eyes fall on the floor.
GAGE (hopefully): âMy father⊠Your⊠daughter?â
Father nods and gestures for GAGE to stand up. GAGE slowly shifts across the table. As they go to stand, they wobble, and Father catches them.
Father (smiling): âGive it another try.â
GAGE does as theyâre told. GAGE walks better this time, not perfect, but they donât fall over, so itâs an improvement. Father stands behind GAGE as GAGE explores the room.
Father (smirking): âThe experiment is already working perfectly.â
GAGE turns to face their father, picking up on the ominous tone of voice.
GAGE (child-like curiosity): âFather, what experiment?â
Father snapped out of whatever deep thought process he was in. He waved off GAGEâs comment and smiled sweetly.
Father (faux kindness): âNothing, sweetie, just go see your mother. Sheâs in the den. Second room on your left.â
Father gestured to the door. GAGE opened it. Outside was a grand hallway, with windows lining 1 wall and banners lining the other. The windows had golden metal trims, while the purple banners had golden magnifying glasses on them. GAGE walked down the hallway. The camera is zoomed out enough to show GAGE walking past the windows from the outside, as if the windowâs golden frames were trapping them in a gilded cage without GAGE even noticing. The banners sway slightly as the camera focuses on the door.
Scene 2:
The camera is fully covered by the dark wooden doors, with golden handles instead of the traditional knobs. GAGEâs hand comes into frame as they knock on the door. The motherâs voice is sweet and kind as she speaks.
Mother (Kindly): âCome in, dear.â
GAGE enters the room as the large doors swing open when GAGE pushes on the handles. The room has wooden plank floors, ruby red walls, paintings hanging about, and bookshelves standing tall against the wall. On the back wall, between two bookshelves and in front of a painting, stands a large dark wooden desk and an office chair. On the left is a reading nook with a greyish green couch, a brown coffee table, and a tanish grey armchair. The camera moves to a shot where GAGE stands at the door, unsure of what to do. GAGEâs face shows confusion. Mother notices GAGEâs confusion and smiles.
Mother (Kindly): âItâs ok, dear. Walk over here. Weâre gonna start teaching you your lessons.â
Mother pulls a book off one of the shelves and sits down on the couch. GAGE walks over and stands in front of Mother. Mother pats the arm of the couch next to her. GAGE climbs on the arm of the couch and crouches down. Mother giggles.
Mother (amused): âNo, dear. You sit on the couch cushions, NOT the armrest.â
GAGE looks at Mother. Blinks once in confusion, before their eyes light up brighter for a moment.
GAGE (realization): âOh! The cushion, right!â
GAGE climbs off the couch armrest and sits in the correct spot. The camera pans over to once again give a shot outside the golden trim windows in 1 window, the golden frame traps GAGE in the room. The window is open, but Mother does not turn to face it. Much more interested in teaching GAGE the current lesson. No voices are heard, but we see Motherâs mouth move and GAGE nod along while staring out their closed window as soft, wordless music plays in the background. A Storm clouds the sky, with a lightning strike, the screen flashes into the next scene.
