Currently being very annoying bc she found where I hang my necklaces by my bed and she likes the way the pendants clack against the wall

Otherwise: she's grown soooooo much this last month she's all long now!

Despite the necklaces, she's easily the most well behaved kitten I've ever experienced. And she LOVES Ankh. The affection isn't really returned and she's getting her ass slapped around all the time, but Gui loves that too. She spends all day following Ankh around and trying to play with her or stealing her sleeping spots.

The big girls have been much more active since Gui came home, which is exactly what I was hoping for. There's a lot of hissing whenever Gui gets in their personal space (theyre teaching her manners), but it's so cute whenever they walk into a room and Gui starts purring like an engine as soon as she sees them.

I dont know if I'll take better photos of them lol but I made an executive decision that these are finished.

I wanted them to fit in with the rest of the dmmd chimi figures but trying to copy Yupon's style like that was HARD. I should've done their eyes in pastels to help the swirls show up better, theyre the whole point! I do like how Tae came out though.

I actually don't know much unfortunately! I listened to a little presentation on different omegaverse subgenres in danmei, which was really interesting. I think the bug based ones might have more women in them? Which I think makes sense, I feel like bugs are generally matriarchal (if you can call it that).

What I do know based on that was a lot of information on ger stories, which only seems to have mpreg and "secondary" or "third" genders in common with omegaverse. It definitely has its own rules. OH AND THE BUGS sorry I had to google it but It's ZERG stories. Like from Starcraft lol. So they were aliens that are like bugs. I don't know if they're literally zergs from starcraft or how much it draws from that mythology? Maybe just the sexual dimorphism to inform its fantasy gender hierarchy? Fascinating honestly. Starcraft yaoi...

I don't know a lot about danmei in general, I've only read scum villain (they were at my local library lol). It definitely seems like danmei is built out from fandom-based structures that I'm generally not familiar with so I find them difficult to get into. Like, I don't have the experience with wuxia, so trying to read The Untamed and other cultivation based danmei was confusing! Also it's like Russian literature in that every person has their own specific way of addressing each other character so I get confused over which characters are which. (I'm not familiar with the titles!) They definitely are written with the assumption that you have a base understanding of the way the genre's rule functions. (Which is interesting in itself, it gave me more to think about for how I read basically everything.)

In general I have a lot more to say about Japanese omegaverse which is both fascinating and infuriating and in at least one niche of it, a government pro-natalist psy-op [citation needed] Don't bring this up when I'm drunk.
