Yesterday I saw Moulin Rouge and I have many thoughts

To clarify, every thought is positive; I bloody loved it.

So I went with my theatre nerd dad and anti-theatre (possibly convert?) brother who both loved it; there was so much energy as it’s only the second week of previews.

I thought I would hate Firework but Karen Olivo pulls it off beautifully, as much as I’d like to have seen One Day I’ll Fly Away. And then there was Roxanne. I genuinely forgot to breathe for the first half. The choreography and set design were amazing also; they perfectly fit the mood while being outstanding.

My family also allowed me to stage door (I never have before) and luckily both Aaron and Karen came out before the 25-minute mark where we had to run for our train; here’s some pics:

I feel like I say this after every show -but I’ve never made a post like this about any other- : It was the best show I’ve ever seen. If you get the chance then GO SEE IT. If you have seen it then can we talk? I wanna fangirl with youu x

So this is my first barricade day and I wanted to do a full illustration and I decided to not make it depressing so that I won’t cry for the entire day.

So today I had my french speaking GCSE exam. I think I did alright but there was one question that confused me; it was about what you think of free time in school, but me, in my confused lil mind (and being Les Mis trash) thinking that the question was about freedom, replied (in French) ‘In my opinion, to be free is most important’.

Combferre would be proud I guess??

An Elphaba sketch from the train to London // I saw Wicked tonight and Alice Fearn has officially replaced Idina Menzel as Elphie in my mind; her performance was SO GOOD. Also *SPOILER ALERT* Why does no-one talk about when Fiyero was carried away concurrently becoming the Scarecrow and beong Jesus? That moment killed me- maybe they do talk about it and I’m just not deep enough into the Wicked fandom.
