this is a post for my fellow pre-despair 2020 spn fans. those of u who joined after LOOK AWAY. anyways do yall remember the fucking insane blend of emotions you felt on the night of the fifth. like, literally never in my LIFE has my heart pounded like it did when i watched that scene start, i just KNEW. i knew! he started talking about his deal and it was like oh shit, and then he started talking about how dean changed him, and how cas cared because dean cared and how dean was loving it was like OH SHIT. and then the visceral reaction i had when he actually said i love you...NO other media experience compares to the feeling i had in that moment!!!!!! absolute madness total insanity elation and screaming and GODDAMN!! the EPIC HIGH!!!!!!! but then, there was the juxtaposition with spn suddenly being dragged into the eyes of every single person on the internet and the MEMES. from people who knew nothing, who didnt get it, who had a superiority complex about it. like the EPIC HIGH OF CAS SAYING HE LOVED DEAN HOOOOLY SHIT! only for there to be a million and one people who hadnt given a shit about the show in years or maybe ever saying that the confession scene was shit, that it was badly written and acted, jensen is about to say a slur, etc etc like man. you wanted to be elated, but at the same time so many people were being assholes about it because everyone hates fun. you saw the same screenshots of dean and cas close ups a million times, the word turbohell was on every third post, the names jensen and misha were being said more on this site than they had since 2013. every human emotion was being experienced by those of us who’d been watching the season leading up to that night
