Unfortunately there has been a surge in AI generated 'artistes' and songs targeting Soul & Blues.

'Brenda Miles' and 'Melissa McQueen' have recently emerged and the songs sound great. There are also a number of other named 'artistes' using the same vocal from the same creator. They are a good fiction but you will never see these fictions live on a real stage. Look carefully at the supposed singers and follow their mouth movements. I have worked with real vocalists and know what movements are real. Likewise, watch videos of real artistes performing live.

It is pure profit for the creators. No outgoings for singers and musicians and full copyright ownership.

Footnote - AI cannot generate the emotion (soul) of real singers, it can only copy. But, it is getting closer. A blues artiste once suggested that "many play the blues but they haven't lived through it".

Quite a full but themed schedule this month...

✈️ I've gone on a major trip back to beautiful Jamaica and featuring Bob Marley. Chris has spent a lot more time in JA than me (abeit my Dad was Jamaican), so this should bring back memories. There's also a little hat fashion too.

Did you know that on Sunday December 31st, 1972, The Wailers performed in the USA for the first time at the Concourse Plaza, in the Bronx, NYC.

🎼 Chris has been itching to post this month (he's been sitting on the posts) and concentrating on his 'roots music' (Blues). He has even managed a themed car pic too (as he does) 😉

🎤 Co-Hosting The World Music Show Vaults

I was involved in the background with General Culture when he was broadcasting a 3-part weekly radio show that was simulcast across a number of independent stations with a very large audience. He then suggested changing the 3rd section into the 'Vaults' with me becoming a co-host. The 1st season was via Skype with lots of sound effects and the 2nd season with both in the studio just having fun in-between the songs.

The broadcasts came to an unscheduled end in early 2017 due to illness and other matters. Midway through the 2nd season there was a special show that broke away from the norm and occupied the whole 3-hrs split into 2 sections with just me hosting.
