1st week post-synthroid
Down 5 pounds...coulda just been the change in diet, but could be the start of big things to come. Headed to the gym in morning. Itās gonna be a good week!
Greek pork tenderloin and spiralized Greek salad
Trying to get back on track with a healthy breakfast this morning.
So turns out I have Hashimotoās Thyroiditis
My thyroid level is still technically normal (3.67) but my doctor thought it would be smart to get me started on synthroid today since my TPO was very high at 59.6. Maybe this will finally help with my weight loss and help explain why Iāve had so much trouble having consistent weaight loss even when Iāve done everything right.

If youāre having a bad day, watch this fufflyboy go down a slideĀ
Breakfast of champions after boxing this morning šŖš» (Life tip: put a little raspberry jam on the English muffin first...so good!)
Getting back on track with gazpacho and chimichuri shrimp for dinner (and that bread was to share, not all for me haha)
Does anyone knows how to fix white vans that turned yellow bc of sun exposure?
@mister-rubberlegs donāt think so, they have pink too.
Ok I washed them with arm & hammer and they look whiter. Letās see what happens when they dry
I am curious at the result.
Oxiclean is also hella good at getting out stains like that. Mix some with a little bit of water, into like a paste, use a toothbrush to scrub it in, let it sit for a little then rinse.

FMLS - BLOGS OF SPRING!
Welcome to fatmaninalitlesuitās Blogs of Spring! This is a list of some of my favorite fitness blogs that I recommend you check out. It is open to anyone that is on a physical or mental fitness / health journey with a special emphasis on personal blogs that share the journey as they go.Ā Ā
Here you will find some of my long time favorites, some blogs the I love but may not be well know by most and some blogs that are new to me. So, without any further delay - I am proud to introduce my next blog of SpringĀ fatgirlgetsfitatlast
Val is someone I have followed just about all of my tumblr journey. She us a workout warrior and impresses me with her hard work and consistency.Ā
Val is also friendly, supportive and approachable. He blog is a wealth of resources including lots of great stuff on yoga, her headstand practice (which freaking amazes me) keto recipes, and other things. You can also get to know her by checking out her personal posts.Ā
Do yourself a favor and check out Valās blog today! :)Ā
Here is what she says about her blog / herself.
Hi! Iām Val. Iām fifty-five years old. Retired from corporate life after twenty years with the same company. I have my own online business now which allows much more freedom, if less income. Native Floridian. Lover of Jazzercise, yoga, sunshine, the beach, and lingering sunsets. Diehard āBuffy the Vampire Slayerā fan. Disdainer of cold weather. Ā
Iām also a food addict. Specifically, my problem is with flour and sugar. One bite is too many; a hundred is never enough.
Iāve been this way for as long as I can remember. Iāve always been heavier than other kids, although, looking back, I was not as fat as the mental image I had of myself. I was very active as a kid, but that wasnāt enough to keep me thin or keep me for being bullied as the token fat kid in school.
I started my first diet when I was a pre-teen, taking the appetite suppressant āAydsā before every meal without telling anyone. It didnāt work, by the way.
In high school, my friend and I started a new diet every Monday. It usually lasted until Wednesday, although sometimes it was over by Monday night. Needless to say, we rarely lost any weight at all.
In college, weighing in at 275 pounds (Iām 6ā0ā tall) I got serious about losing weight and went on a 1,000 calorie a day, low-fat diet, as was recommended by every magazine I read. I worked out hard seven days a week. I got to the lowest weight Iād ever be as an adult, 175 pounds. But, I was starving all the time and, once I started eating normally again (and then abnormally, binging on my trigger foods which I craved like a drug), the weight just piled right back on, and then some.
For the next many years, I struggled to stay on a diet or a workout program. I started and stopped hundreds of times. Then I saw a picture of myself at 350 pounds and I couldnāt believe it. I normally didnāt let anyone take pictures of me. I hadnāt seen one in many years. I was floored. I was devastated. I was desperate.
A friend at work had just started the āProtein Powerā program and had success. I got the book. I read it. I tried to keep an open mind. They explained food addictions and cravings. They explained insulin and hormones and fat storage and insulin resistance. It made sense. I tried it.
It was honestly a miracle. Within a few days the cravings, what I used to call my āmouth being hungryā, were gone. That was really the most amazing thing. Iām very sure I had never experienced that before. In addition, my energy level increased, my brain-fog lifted, my low-mood lifted too.
I lost weight. Then I forgot that I was addicted to these foods ā or maybe I thought Iād gotten over it. I hadnāt. I reintroduced them to my life. I gained weight back. I couldnāt stop. I knew I should stop, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldnāt stop eating the sugar and flour. Again. Luckily, I did not gain all the weight back before getting control.
Well, to make a long, repetitive story shorter, Iāve fallen off and climbed back on the wagon a few times. I keep trying to find the right balance for me, but what I have learned is that there is no moderation for me when it comes to sugar and flour. Other carbs (primarily complex carbs) I can tolerate without triggering my addiction, but not refined carbs full of sugar and flour. Iām off those addictive substances now and feeling so much better, the weight is starting to slowly reduce again. Ā I have noticed that the older I get, the harder it is to lose weight. I need to do this now, before it gets any harder.
We all have our own demons. We all have strategies that work for us. If you can do the ā80/20ā rule of moderation, I salute you! I applaud you! I just canāt do it. I support everyone whoās out there trying their best to be their best. We all deserve that.

So apparently my defence mechanism if someone tries to hit me will just be to screech at them lol. This morning during mitt training at the gym I missed a slip and just kind of screeched at my trainer while her mitt came flying at my face hahaha It stopped her in her tracks though and I didnt end up getting hit, so I guess it works?
