I NEED to yap about the fanfic I read few months ago. It’s beautiful.
Coexistence is Boredom - Sakurazukamori6, 33 chapters and ongoing, 200k+ words, LxRxL, mature.
Absolutely endearing writing. Story set after Higuchi arrest, just after Light regains his memories. They move to Paris after being informed of the existence of another notebook in France. Starting with the shenanigans set in the city of Paris. Lots of french, very alive chemistry, romance(?), they’re really freaky, and they’re both very in love with each other. It gets really dark in the middle(torture).
The first half was everything I wished for, absolutely perfect. Lawlight being silly, while the plot keeps moving, towards the inevitable path to catastrophe. Great ending of the first portion before the whole mood of the fic actively changes.
And then I found the dead dove in the bag, which wasn’t labeled bc ffnet lacks such sufficient tagging system. I haven’t been able to recover from being jumped by it ever since. Anyways, am planning to read the rest after recovering sufficiently. Also, interesting character interpretations. Could agree to most of it.
(Spoilers!) the part that was so scrumptious:
L taught him how to kill a person with a gun, and with that exact method Light killed someone
“When firing, always take two shots, one after the other – preferably to the head, since bulletproof vests are quite sturdy. Two quick shots to the head also ensure that the person won't get back up again," L briefed. He then handed the gun over to him .”
“Raito narrowed his eyes and without even a second thought, he swiftly reached into the waistband of his slacks, pulled out the gun tucked away there and shot Rene two times in the back of the head.”
Like omg that is the hottest thing I’ve ever read.
I’ve only read half of the fic but still I can say for sure that this fic is a masterpiece. Definitely recommended!!
