I want to be treasured and I have recently realized— possibly remembered— that most people won’t do that. They may be curious, but even that tends to be passive and/or selfish. Like when someone asks you a question just so they can get to their response. I don’t know that most people care about people’s hearts.

Currently, I don’t have the energy to say this is a bad thing. Because I feel a lot, I think it’s good everyone isn’t walking around caring deeply about each others’ hearts. I forget that it is possible to care without being overwhelmed by emotions.

Anyway, I am learning how to emotionally detach from unhealthy and imbalanced situations. I’m learning how to care without being carried away, how to care knowing other people won’t care about me in the same way. To care while dedicating the majority of my energy and time to my community. That way when people inevitably act in a way that shows they are not concerned about my heart, I’m not devastated. I remember who I can go to to be cared for the way I want and need. And everyone else matters but they don’t get the psychological energy I give to those in my close community.
