me and my friend group which is a mix of boys and girls are planning a schoolies trip, but making it our own trip without schoolies, and all the girls are bringing their boyfriends.

i’m talking to this guy and i don’t know if it’s going to go any further than what it is now. he’s asked me to go out on a date but i was unable to go bc of home life. but he doesn’t talk to me at school or in person at all, it’s always just over snapchat.

my one friend wants me to invite him so it makes our airbnb cheaper, but all the other girls laughed and kinda gave judgy looks when i told them i might invite the guy i’m talking to.

Me personally I would not be inviting this guy to schoolies. If he refuses to speak to you at school that’s a red flag.

I think that’s probably why the other girls laughed at the suggestion. It sounds like this guy is mostly a stranger. And schoolies is still months away so you don’t know if you’ll still be talking to him by the time you go.

If you start hanging out with him in person and he starts actually talking to you in public/at school then yeah invite him if you want to. But until then I think it’s probably not the best idea for him to stay with you.

I’d suggest letting him know that he needs to start acknowledging you in public and hanging out with you if he wants to come to schoolies with you. Let him know he might be uninvited if he doesn’t as it would be awkward.
