Bye bye Antigua. Just before leaving, I got the chance to visit the only recycling center existing organized by the non-profit @abwrec and I learned that I am not the only one going overseas. Plastic and cans are sent to Brazil & China. As for glass it goes in one of the 2 dumps of the island, the official or the "unofficial" one, the facility being too small with too little resources to handle it safely . But glass doesn't attract heavy chemicals as plastic does & 90 % of the trash I picked up on the beaches was plastic, mostly single use items like on this picture.
