Walks out of her office. Hears the current clamoring going on around the other Doctor.

“Well c’mere, then, Doctor, come on!” Blaze is holding her arms open, beckoning Clara to come hug her. “If you’re gonna reward me with a hug, I want it to be a good one, though. No holding back, really gimme a squeeze!” The sort of hug that Blaze gives out, herself. She’s actually looking forward to this now- she really would love a hug.

“It’s KIND of like a hug, but not really. There’s a lot more groping involved than with a hug, usually. And mouth stuff.” As much as she WOULD want to get her face in Clara’s chest, she’s not about to do it if Clara wasn’t fully aware of what it is… and especially not if she wouldn’t enjoy it. “I would like a hug, though. I haven’t had a hug in a while.”

“Motorboating, Doctor! It’s where you put your face in someone’s chest and just sort of enjoy yourself in there. Pretty simple!” She’s not going to go into more detail than that, but she feels like that covers it pretty well. “I’m surprised you don’t know the term, it’s pretty common, you know?”

❝ Just some scrapes? Don’t act trite with me, Doctor Clara. ❞ She counters, albeit irritably. Bruises and a dozen or so needless cuts on her persona. How reckless. But successes on the battlefield aren’t a guarantee without taking calculated risks. This, she knows. ❝ Your calculations make Amiya worry incessantly. Now, hold still. ❞ There is no finesse in the way Kal’tsit applies salve and bandages to promote healing.  

“I know. But... It’s for the best.” Clara barely flinches, even though Kal’tsit is treating her injuries with all the gentleness of a sledgehammer to the face. She knows better than to complain; for as much as Kal’tsit dislikes her - whether as she is now, or who she used to be, if not both - she still takes the time to tend to Clara, and the amnesiac Doctor appreciates it.

“Taking risks... Making sure to accomplish the mission with as few sacrifices as possible... It’s for both her sake... and mine.” After all, keeping everyone safe made it so that Amiya would have less to grieve about. But sometimes... she’d silently admit to herself that she occasionally risked her own life on purpose. It kept her grounded - maintained that reminder that her Operators weren’t just tools, or game pieces.
