Ever since I've known I always was a paper kind of person but when the pandemic hit and everything went online, I switched my notetaking to digital. I did enjoy it thoroughly but it didn't feel exciting as much i did when i did my notetaking on a physical notebook. In my case i like to keep my notes pretty minimalistic but if you do want to make it aesthetic i think I would much rather you use google doc or notion. I also use the forest extension on my laptop to avoid being distracted while taking notes or just studying in general, so i suggest you could use that if you get distracted easily or use the 25/5 pomodoro method, whichever suits you better.

When i do take paper notes though i just whatever resources i have and i like how most of them turn out, i suggest you could try doing it to see if it suits you and i try to make them as precise and understandable as possible so that i don't spend much time on it and it would be much easier to learn with in the future. If you don't like using your laptop but want to take notes on gdocs, you can do your main notetaking on paper and just jot down the key points or points that you tend to forget easily on a gdoc and that way you can read it on your phone.

Since you've mentioned you're in your gap year, it'll be a great time for you to try both of these notetaking methods and see which suits you better.

I quit my job on the weekend so I took some self care time to watch X-Men movies.

Back to our regular broadcast:

I'm in a cute little coffee shop across the street from my apartment. The plan was to get my Philosophy quiz and presentation prepped here but they don't have open wifi. So I'm doing my weekly Sex Studies notes instead. Manual note taking is the only way I can retain information but it takes significantly longer than typed notes. Learning some heavy stuff in this class.
