I know you are never going to see this but I needed to thank you. Your Joker was an enthralling and captivating character. It brought me into the fandom and gave me a medium to work through some of the tramas I have suffered in the past, in a way that I have been able to digest.

I have been able to write out parts of my past that I never wanted to look at or deal with by living through them with the characters that I write centered around YOUR Joker. It has helped me find closure and deal with demons I’ve had with me since I was a child.

By writing out my stories I have found a new confidence I never thought I would have about myself and helped me to see that no matter how messed up my life gets, to look to the bright side. I know this sounds strange. That such a psychopathic and emotionally challenged character has actually changed my life but it truly has. You truly have.

Because of you and your amazing character I have made new friends I never would have otherwise. I have a safe way to express myself and the things I have never wanted to accept about my life. You have truly given me a strength I don’t think I ever would have had without this.

I want to thank you, truly thank you for your work. For the opportunity to expand on your character through fan fics and for the new ability to work through the worst parts of my life. You and your character hold a special place in my heart now and while I know this will never reach you I needed to say thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am on my way to being a stronger person now. The person I have always wanted to be but have never had the courage to try to be.

I didn’t know what a powerful impact this fandom and it’s community would have on my life but it has been a life changing experience writing these stories.

I also wanted to thank all of you guys. Every anon that has said they have Iiked a story. To every single person who has messaged me asking for a new story or wanting me to write a new part to one of my shorts, reassuring me I’m doing a good job. To everyone who has talked me through the nights I have felt like shit or who have talked to me throughout the day discussing new fics.
