To defend myself, I'd like to say that I have listened to some of his songs growing up on the radio, movies, and just his well popular songs on my own. So ive heard some of his songs, but I've never delved deeper purely because usually when I listen to music I'm in settings where I can't dive deeper like at school during class or cleaning. And if I do then I get distracted asf and won't finish my tasks so I have to hold back. Also I listen to diff genres/artist/subgenres so even tho I'm listening to this one song Another one I add to the queue makes me start listening to their music or other similar artists when I do check artists out. And sometimes I forget to get back to them since I'm always running around or I am not in that particular mood for that genre. I like to be in the mood for it because it makes me appreciate it /see it clearly. Lastly, in my defense sometimes for certain artists I like to sit down and actually really listen to their music, the sound, the lyrics, their voice/ how their tones change during certain parts cuz it's an art form I appreciate and deeply feel/love. David Bowie is one of those artists.

And ill be honest he was on the back burner for me to dive into for awhile just because im exploring so many different artists/genres and like previously mentioned i have to be in the mood. But after watching Labyrinth during the fall has changed my WORLD. It has made me see David Bowie in a different light and I have started to slowly dive into his music and he just has that uumfph. Like I think my love for the Labyrinth movie has made me listen to his music and his voice is just so hauntingly beautiful, and I love it. It's just amazing, and it's so beautiful to the point it makes me want to cry, even the happy songs. Idk how to explain it but when something hits that right spot it makes me so emotional/filled with this deep appreciation of its beauty I cry. His songs are one of those moments along with many other artists/songs such as Billy Joel and MCR and so on lol.
