i think it's funny when people in fandoms are like "this character needs to be held accountable for their actions!" and the character in question got sent to prison, or horrifically tortured or killed or is generally empty and miserable. cause what they really mean is 'i need the rest of these characters in this story to hate them as much i do" because the narrative punishing them isn't enough i guess.
