Cover Your Walls part 2: Posters

This is part 2 of the ‘Cover Your Walls’ project, which is designed to provide many options for paintings and posters while reducing clutter in both your in-game catalog and downloads folder.

I have taken pictures from TS2, TS3 and TS4 and various expansions and packs and put them on the following meshes:

- 78 pictures on the FT movie Poster

- 20 pictures on the angst poster

- 25 pictures on the grilled cheese poster

- 18 pictures on the travel poster

- 57 pictures on ‘Surfing the Universe’

- 18 pictures on ‘U-R-Here’

- 50 pictures on the idol poster

- 15 pictures on one of the kids paintings

The recolours are bundled into one file for each poster. I have posted some of the recolours separately before; if you have any of my recolours of these posters from here (http://decatsims2.blogspot.com/2018/12/paintings-and-posters.html) or here (http://decatsims2.blogspot.com/2016/08/gos-secret-santa-2015.html), you should delete them before adding these to your game.

Keep in mind that if you delete one recolour in game you will delete the whole file- I keep mine in the Bins folder (your latest expansion -> TSData -> Res -> Catalog -> Bins) for that reason.

1x2 Lot Size Homes

I wanted to take advantage of these wonderful lots @catherinetcjd shared and make some homes for my lot bin - and yours! Because of the small size these are very easy to wedge in to crowded maps, and these floorplans are still plenty roomy I think! These are all unfurnished but starter home priced between $12K and $17K. Some CC is included so please make sure you use Clean Installer as usual.

It's been a while since I've been here. Today I came to bring something I did in my free time. To be honest, I would like to have redone it, but time doesn't help me, I still decided to share it with you because I really liked the idea.

I also took a look at my folders to see if there were any addons for this set and I found one complete with a chair and table.

24 Hour Diner

If you use light-coloured counter tops featured in the pic above, you probably noticed these can become blindingly white when placed near a window or other light source. My default reduces this blinding effect.

It's a tiny file as it contains TXMTs only. So it will work if you combine it with texture-only defaults.

File includes TXMTs for six TS2 base game counter top shades, one from Pets and one from NL.

Schmidt's Wünder Tub aka Country Shower came with Seasons EP. Mesh looks a bit rough and unfinished, it really needed a makeover.

I gave it an antique look - and of course there are a few old/grungy options 😉 The top pic features a transparent curtain recolour.

14.III.2022 update: fixed grunge torn curtain recolour

Polycount: 4595

Default contains mesh, cres, txmt and textures for the "Fixtures" subset - metal parts separated from the curtain.

* Please note that "Fixtures" subset doesn't have a dirty state - only the curtain will get dirty.

* Just like the original, it has to be placed near a wall with cheats.

* "Curtain" UVs and textures are unchanged, so recolours for that subset made by others will work with my default - my recolours, however, are not compatible with original mesh.

Sorry, this took so long but I’m finally happy enough with this set to finally share. It is a super cute kitchen so I hope you guys will like using it in your sims homes. I will put all the necessary information below the cut so please read. :)

Another TS2 lamp fixed (and still many left 😆). That's Ribbons Aplenty Ceiling Lamp from Glamour Life SP. I've tweaked the shape, and height - I actually like original model, but I find this version much more usable.

Retextures of lovely hairs for your sim boys, all 3 hairs converted by @simborg ❤ I know I've retextured Jaime hair before, but this is a different version, much lower poly and for all ages.

And this is a good opportunity to make a friendly reminder here: I don't convert hairs to ts2, all I do is retexture them. Please guys don't mix it up :)
