When drawing this, I had in mind both the literal and metaphorical interpretations of it^^ On one hand, I have a soft spot for Crowley eating questionable things, considering both his love for eating meat, canonically eating suspicious things, and his gratuitous egg metaphors in the JP text of the game…

On the other hand, the Crowley-Raverne aspects of this made me think about the potential angst/guilt of this 💥💥💥💥 Raverne left on a mission, and disappeared for hundreds of years to find his boy all grown up. In all those years, I wonder if the grief ate at him, knowing this could never be the same- much like that broken eggshell and death of ‘his’ son

But both can be true at the same time -v- It’s because he loves him so much that he would do something awful (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) Part of why I am so attached to this theory is the thought of TWST exploring the aspects of “fatherhood” through Lilia and Raverne. Both the selfless love yet trial and error, and the distant brutality of it.
