getting the maritime bus home tomorrow morning i am so heartbroken but also i want to be in my own damn house SO BAD !! classmate and i cleaned up the airbnb and packed most of our stuff so it wouldn't be nuts tomorrow... Clinicals were amazing LOL they were very impressed with how well we did on blood collections :-) i ended up with 125 outpatient blood draws total this week and i went into it sooo worried about getting the required 50 in the beginning LMFAO. didn't have a single bad patient interaction either everybody was very friendly and happy to let me poke them aside from like one or two mildly irritating middle aged men trying to be comedians. i assume they're just lonely or were never told to shut up as children

overall phlebotomy has been suuuch a fun experience and just about everybody i've had in my chair has been so eager to be a guinea pig for me LMFAO. i'm glad i went semi-rural for my placement because they're sooo nice and a lot of them are CHATTY as can be it makes the anxiety like ten times better. one older woman today like... peer pressured me into taking her blood😭 she was also on blood thinners and had a somewhat delicate vein that was difficult to get a good angle on so i was going to pass it off to my preceptor but she was like TRY!!!!! and i can't say no to a nice old lady
