I actually think it's because their souls call out for the closeness afforded to men in the past. Men used to hug each other. They used to kiss each other on the cheek. They used to walk closely with one another to confide in one another. We sexualized affection between men so hard that now the only way they can achieve the closeness they once had is with the affect of it being for the bit.
