Like dude he is the ONLY antagonist ever that had the Traveler in his power and instead of trying to eliminate them or anything, we got a weirdly long ass scene of him sitting them down to hear him yapp about how similar they both are and how they shold work with him, he was DESPERATE to have them by his side.

If he didn't want it that much the scene would have been shorter and after the first no he would have been like "alright then die" and end it there, but noo instead we got him leaning down to whisper to their ear about how they would benefit from joining him and giving a "last chance" like 100 times.

He even absorbed their rejections and insults until they stabbed him, to which he responded by attacking them in a way that they only survived cause Wanderer came in the right moment, meaning that he could had eliminated them from the started yet choose not to because he was THAT interested in convicing them to join him that he even let pass the perfect opportunity to get rid of a big problem against his plans. He really saw them as worth it enough to waste his precious time like that.

I can't speak for the Traveler cause they did reject him and we don't have reasons to believe they would change their minds (yet 👀) but I don't think that the "he would never work with them" argument can be applied to the the one antagonist that got the longest scene implying that he is interested, you could even say obsessed with the idea of them working together, and even playing with the idea of "what if the Traveler said yes...?"

None of them gave me the vibes they would be promoted as playable characters? Pierro had a big participation but he still felt as he was treated more like an important NPC. And the other two just got a short scene of them discussing the proyect stuzha (forgot how to writa that) stuff, so unless the promotion for them was seeing Nella stroke is moustache and hearing Pantalone having like 3 sassy lines I don't think they're trying to sell us these characters yet.
