Hogsmeade...
"Are you sure? Iâve come to find that every place that is branded âsafeâ isnât quite,â Petunia sneered stubbornly, but let her aim fall as she clicked the safety back into place. The other woman, despite the wand in her hand, was less of a threat than anything sheâd faced coming here.
She wouldnât spoil her arrival after everything sheâd done to get to that blasted port key.Â
Sucking in a tired breath, Petunia scrubbed her hand over her eyes before setting her stern gaze back onto the other woman.
"Where is Albus Dumbledore? Is he here?"
A moment of hesitation passed, Irina watching as the gun fell uselessly back to the young woman's side. "It's as safe as it can be in a time like this," Irina admitted openly, knowing that more than likely, this wasn't the answer that people wanted to hear when they asked of the safety, but it's all she had to give. "The other shopkeepers who still remain in the village and myself, the few of us maintain the wards to keep it from being breached and attacked by any walkers. We've been lucky so far."
Tucking her wand into the pocket of her robes, Irina wrapped her arms around herself, waiting and listening - and more than anything else, wondering. Wondering how a Muggle had not only managed to find her way to Hogsmeade with no assistance, but also managed to know so much other information.
Her head perked at the mention of Dumbledore. "Why do you need to see him?" she asked without a thought, crossing her arms over her chest. Now it was simply curiosity that was egging her on, wanting to know more of what was truly underway right now. "He is not here, he resides elsewhere. Perhaps I could be of assistance to you?" she questioned, before adding, "Or if you are willing to wait until the morning, I could show you the way to find him."
