It's almost the day! you’re either really excited or not excited. I’m actually the “not excited” team. I know it’s ridiculous to not be excited but that’s the reality. Anyways, back to the topic, These are the things that I wished that I’ve prepared along with me. Either mentally, physically or the things. (I’m sorry if I’m quite blunt here, but life is harsh and you need to accept it.

1. Set up the mindset that you’re going to accept the things going in your life without any fear and live it without expecting getting help.

Come on, you knew that this is ain’t going to be easy for you and yet you kept expecting people will help you? that’s a nonsense topic to talk about. On this part, I’ve planted a mind that “This world is tough, there’s no one to ask help from and everyone is trying to survive on their own. think.” 

2. Save money, you a**

Yeah, your parents do sends you your monthly wages. but think logically, you’re living on your own and if you kept on spending your cash on thousands of unimportant things, you’ll go broke. And when you’re broke as hell, then you broke your friend’s camera equipment. You’ll need your “down to the drain” cash, but sorry, not sorry... it’s not there and your parent is not there to change the equipment you broke. think of think situation seriously. because it happened to me and it ain’t happy for me for 3 weeks.

3. Bring your medicines & pack efficiently.

seriously tho. this is needed, even though your sickness isn’t that chronic. I bought some but it is not enough. bring as much you need according to your prescription or how long you’ll be there. AND BRING THE MEDICINE THAT IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY SINCE TAIWAN DOESN’T ALLOW MEDICINE TO BE IMPORTED. I And please pack efficiently. packing efficiently doesn’t mean packing less, okay. I can’t really explain a lot of this stuff, but head to the link i linked below.  (FYI, Sonia has helped me a lot.)

so, after you have received all of the datas sent from taiwan, you’ll need to go or asked to go to a clinic. you’ll need to have a have a medical check up. As far as I know, taiwan is super meticulous about infectious or transmissible diseases such as tuberculosis, a worm from your faeces and etc. 

YOU NEED TO GO TO A CLINIC THAT IS APPROVED BY THE UNIVERSITY YOU ATTEND! IF NOT THEY MIGHT NOT ACCEPT THE RESULTS AND YOU NEED TO DO THE CHECK UP ALL OVER AGAIN. Since I’m from Indonesia, i’ll list down the clinics approved by 橋大 or NTNU (llinkou campus) :

The day before the medical check up you’ll be asked to fast (allowed to drink WATER ONLY.) at least 12 hours. But then, ask your clinic or your agent, for further information. because, some of my friends here mentioned that you don’t need to fast AT ALL.

Then, here comes the d day where your check up is here. The moment you arrived at the clinic, you need to give some papers/ not to the administrator and pay the fees. and the tests are;

1. General Check ups: checking your chest, heartbeat, teeth and etc.

2. blood taking

3. Urine and faeces taking

4. Rontgen : Chest (do not use anything metal, it will be asked to be taken off since it will make the rontgen doesn’t go well. AND YOU WILL BE HALF NAKED. NO BRAS, LADIES. but don’t worry, they will give you a robe.

5. eyes, height, tension check

and then you are done, the results are usually out within 1 week. but it depends again to your country, the process of the staffs working and etc.

hey guys! so sorry for not updating so often. few weeks ago, i went to a slump and i dont even have the will to be happy or at least be productive. The reason behind that is because :

1. my igcse result came out and it is not like what i have imagined. im upset.

2. my laptop screen cracked. the screen was 1/3 cracked and i couldn’t use it appropriately since i need to make the page size smaller or etc.

3. i’m quite sick since i have anaemia. (yes. do not be surprised. i’ve been accompanied by that biatch since i was in 5th grade. hurray for 6 years anniversary!!)

and all of those happens in the same day. sigh. do the lady of slump loves me? too much has happened in one day. But don’t worry i’ll post the part 2 of study in taiwan tomorrow so be ready!

hi! irene here. so are any of you interested to study in taiwan? then, you’re quite lucky to find this post. Why? because when i registered myself (a bit help from agency, to send my legalized document and etc.) there’s no such thing; like an experience post about trying to register yourself to that college. fyi, i’ll go to NTNU (National Taiwan Normal University) to study chinese (traditional) first.

Step 1 : Visit an agent that is eager to help you.

Find an agency that is suitable for you. The more expensive the agent is the more professional they will be. As for me, well their cost wasn’t that expensive but they suck at telling information quickly. They always tell everything on the last minute. I needed to be as quick as possible and i’ve cried out loud because nothing has happened like i wished. It’s just a MESS.

Step 2 : Copy out your report card (in my case, Grade 7 until Grade 10), your graduate certificate (in my case, Ijazah SMP), and passport.

Copy them thrice (more if you are unsure.) for each page of the document (if your document is on both page, get it to copy on both sides as well) and get it legalized. (except for your passport.)

Step 3 : Photo ID

You’ll be asked about your Photo ID sooner or later. make them as soon as you can. the sizes and the specifications that i was asked was :

○ White background ● Hair needs to be tucked away, behind your ears. ( i tied my hair.) ○ Use a shirt. ( make sure it has COLLAR on it)

sizes : * 3 × 4 * 3.5 × 4.5 -> the size that NTNU wants. (fyi, i forgot what sizes i printed. i’ll update this later again.)

I PRINTED MY PHOTO ID AS MUCH AS I CAN. BECAUSE THAT FREAKING AGENCY ALWAYS NEEDS IT ON EVERY LAST MINUTE.

Step 4 : Submitting

you submit everything that your agency asks to do.

Step 5 : the waiting game

i aint patient about the good old waiting game. IT TAKES SO LONG. IT TOOK 3 MONTHS TO ARRIVE IN MY HOME. they will send you a form that is needed to be submitted on taiwan and you need to fill the data on the paper. (if you don’t understand, ask your agency. to prevent mistakes.) and congratulations, you’re officially accepted!

Hi guys! i know i haven’t posted in weeks. But today i’ll be covering about depression. I know being a student can be stressful as it is. but unfortunately, our role isn’t just being a student. We are certainly either a child, a son, a daughter, an employee, a friend, a class president or etc. having those role, are stressful enough. They gave us piles of thought that will eventually be in our mind. I’m writing this because i’m quite experienced (?) about depression? hahaha. No one is actually....

Long story short, i got bullied for around 3 years, got verbal and mental abuse because of my fam, and after that i was diagnosed with major depression and is given a depressant by my psychologist. i have been consuming that around 2 - 3 years until now. I must commit. Consuming that drug has been making me calm, but it is slowly destroying my body.

But i’m not here to tell you all the sadass story. i’m here to tell you how you can relieve this. But one thing that you might need to know, depression isn’t a cure able disease. It will come back, and be gone. It is just like a wave, but for me it will always still be there since I’m deeply traumatized.

How?

1. Know whom you are. I know, this is a hard thing to discover. it might took your whole life. but then, it might help you to relieve yourself faster and get rid of those stress away. There’s no need to like know your complex self, just simple things first, like fav food, fav artist and etc. if you think that you always forget things, note it down. I did it. To make things simpler, think about it as you being another person.

2. Do every single thing you want. Hey, this is your life. it ain’t anyone’s life. do the fuck you want. watch youtube until morning, play games till you are sick and etc. But there’s 2 things need to be noted... it must be positive and happy.

3. Talk to someone you trust. Talk about it, u ain’t living in this world alone. Talk anything to them, be blunt, be harsh, its all fine, because they know you well. No one to talk with? my inbox are always open. Be free to talk!

4. Dedicate a ME time. Release what you need to. shout, cry and be angry. It always makes it more better if you do it alone.

I think that is how i deal with my depression. Taking medication is actually prohibited, but no choice, for me at least, so don’t even think of taking depressant. You’ll regret it. And thanks for reading this!
